Saving game while resting was disabled.
Auto-saves or manual saves? If former then... why?
Both I believe. It was a rarely used case that could cause a lot of complicated problems with your save.

We saw them in a stream highlight last week. It is odd they didn't post the details in the patch notes.
Could have slipped out, we'll check and fix as soon as possible if so. They're definitely in!
Are there going to be console specific patch notes?
It is same as the PC update, plus the following:

any feedback on switch streaming? I saw a few posts from nearly a year ago saying it was pretty atrocious, is this still the case?
Don't think I heard any complaints about Switch ever since the problem with non-interactive windows was fixed. You're technically playing the PC version with controller when playing Switch. As long as you have a good connection, there should be no issues.
Thanks for the reply, and I can understand the opportunity cost.
If your team ever found at least a bit of time, the mercs could at least be made cheaper, should theoretically be only a change in a few numbers. The more you get, the more expensive the next one is.
And hope Warhammer and your next games are successful, the people in your studio certainly have the talent and deserve recognition for it.
Thank you!
Problem with updates to these systems is that development time is always precious and there's always something else to spend it on. Debating on 3+ year old design choices alone takes a lot of time, even if the demand is REALLY high, like there was for search bar in the inventory before Enhanced edition.
And here if you look at this objectively, we're talking of a rather niche request, further diminished by the fact that PC already has an existing mod solution.
Chance that we ever squeeze time for it, considering how much stuff we still would like to improve about the game... it isn't high, let's be realistic.
You could make it an unlockable after one finishes the game once. And you can lock down the name, portrait and voice.
Or at least make the first five mercs free. I mean would not many mercs pay is to get mythic powers for themselves?
The problem is game gets boring on replays, ending up with same meta builds for each companion over and over.
And there are no mods on consoles.
Oh, and maybe more people would buy the next dlc if they could apply the new classes on companions.
Tortured crusader Trever, Ghost Rider lich companion..
For PC, it's easily solved by a mod. I can see how a certain % of players on console would like to make use of it, but sadly there are many way more prioritized things to update on console to even consider it.
Read moreBG3 convinced me that I don't want full respec for companions.
Same, it's one of the weakest things about the game. The characters are mostly blank dolls with no mechanical identity. They are just walking stories we can slot into any mechanical role -- even in cases where doing so is essentially undermining their entire character, like Wyll and Gale.
I am capable of understanding why players want this, but I absolutely do not. I think a respec down to level 1, retaining their class and stats, is a better setup.
If people want completely blank paper dolls to make mechanically perfect companions, mercenaries are available. I think it's a reasonable cost to have perfected mercenary-companion builds.
Despite what some people seem to want to believe, the design matters and allowing 'options' for everything on the basis that it's a single-player game and people can do or not do what they want is willfully ignoring that e...
I don't think I can explain it better than the person above. First and foremost, it's a design choice. One of the small pieces of the puzzle that creates the overall feel of the game.
This will not be a part of intended game experience due to story reasons. There's a mod that allows you to do that though, if you wish to ignore the boundaries set by the designers.
My understanding is it drops for us same time as PC. Hopefully someone can confirm here.
Correct!
We had it as one of the options in the survey, and it was rated somewhere around 8th or 9th in popularity out of ~15 options. So it's something we considered, but other options looked more attractive in the end. Sadly, it's unlikely that any more full-fledged DLCs are to come after Season Pass 2 is finished.
I assume this is Dlc only and Not in mc?
Yes, he's a part of the DLC story.
Is this a new companion?
Not a companion, but an NPC that will interact with you a lot in the DLC.
