Did you try the fix that aDroogie commented above?

I had this same error when entering Heoborean and all adjacent areas. This was also accompanied with if I tried to do the first Monolith, it would not load and just stay stuck loading. These were both resolved for me by validating my game files through steam.

For those who dont know how to do this:

• Right click The Last Epoch in your Steam Library.
• Select Properties
• Select Local Files
• Select Verify integrity of game files

Hello! The “passage” you see is not really a passage at all, it is actually boundary. It can be little hard to tell because of how it shows up on the mini map. I quickly drew over the mini map to give you a better idea on how to progress past this point here

Hello! Have you tried verifying your game files to see if that fixes the issue? I tried to reproduce the bug but was unable to, which is why I’m guessing you may have a game file missing. Verifying your game files through steam should fix the bug if a missing or corrupt file is what is causing this for you. Please let me know if this fix works for you!

I believe this is the same issue reported here. It looks like exiting the game and checking steam for an update might solve the problem you are having
