I think we had an amazing community on Thistledown back in the day (year 2000). We even had to have the developers intervene in a live event, because the community banded together to protect the Shard of the Herald, that other servers killed, but we elected to level up and save instead. I forget now if it was @Roshen or @Vaknar that experienced this as well? :)

I don't think @Vaknar is old enough to remember peak Asheron's Call 🙃

Thistledown x Shard of the Herald event seems like such a unique moment in MMORPG history, both from the player and dev side.

Just when I was about to harvest the crops on my Freehold, the node triggered a Frost Dragon. Now it's snowing and icy. I fear for my plants and the Gibbering Maws have come out in full force. My npc's keep shooing them away and my Mule keeps slipping on the ice. Ugh... now I have to go help fight the beast and I'm still wearing my summer gardening clothes. Never a dull moment on our side of Verra!

Nothing boosts engagement like 'being able to see who disagrees with you at a glance', amirite?

I assume this comes with an option to change your vote then?

I don't see an easy way to change the vote after you made it.

Hopefully how people vote regarding hard hitting questions like "how is the weather" doesn't result in too many disagreements, and "private polls" might be better for public forum polls in the future.

So my question for you: What is the biggest MMO sin you've commited? Think ninja-looting, killing a low level player for fun, undercutting someone on the AH by 1 copper. Something of the likes :D

Years ago in EQ, we had a guildee fall asleep with levitate on. On the one side of the zone, there was water.

Since there was collision in the game, if a group of us stood right next to him and moved TOWARDS him, he would also move. Just a little.

This took a while, but we spent some time pushing him towards the water. When lev faded, he drowned. Since he didn't bank much XP into his level, he deleveled.

The next raid he had some pretty choice words for how we were bad friends....
