As much as I can tell Shauny loves the game and that's why he does this stuff, I can't help but think Jagex has just gained him as a slave... Just look at the topics discussed, it's what you would expect to come straight from Jagex but officially.

You're literally reading too much into this, historically when stuff like this has happened there's always been action taken, the holiday period has probably affected their plans for deciding what to say and it wouldn't surprise me if they announce something on stream tomorrow, it makes sense to do so.

When you say how, do you mean eoc design or code implementation? Not sure if this is the forum to ask about general eoc design decisions.
Going based on the fact he's an engine Dev my question is: some items in the game that were dual wield were always a single item (claws) but some items didn't get converted like torags hammer, was this a design decision or a technical limitation?
Pi was involved in both, so we can cover those areas!

If you think you're experiencing a bug, submit a bug report in-game. This guarantees the issue will be investigated. Posting in the subreddit is not the way to report problems to Jagex and this message might not even reach the developers.
Due to the holiday break, the next game update is planned for the 6th of January. Current issues will not be fixed before that date.
Even so it's become a staple for this game, to try and stop it is silly and hiding issues I'm not a fan of.
