How/why would seren gather an army for a threat the player would have literally no prior knowledge of without doing the appropriate quests first? I get the whole 'accomodating' newer players, but this makes no sense to me.

I hope they explain this properly instead of go with the old 'well everything before this point was a flashback lul' retcon :/

Nevertheless.. hype new quest, f**king finally!

All in due time, all in due time :D

Nah there's more,

The point of the video is I'm looking for content as the script is "bare" but this is due to the teams being all secretive due to my reputation of leaking content, in a way I guess it hadn't translated that well on video haha.

We've got some exciting plans :)

Well, reposting my thoughts from the previously deleted video:

So that bit at the end referencing Shauny accidentally (or not so accidentally) showing Runescape Next Gen. Think that was just teasing Shauny or a hint at what's to come? If so, what exactly does it mean for RS3?

Looking forward to the new quest as well!

I'm going to clear this off at the pass right now, they added this without me knowing and simply because it fit the ending and the way /u/JagexOsborne dismissed me at the end of that video.

There's no teaser or hint to come, it was added for that humour factor.

now all I can think about is when that happened... bleh.

You know in a way, it kinda fit the thematic, but I have to admit that wasn't intended haha

Now live without the odd black screens that were in the last upload...

Apologies everyone!

EDIT: On another note my goodness is it great to see /u/JagexOsborne in a month ahead video again :D

Can I suggest you delete this post /u/Xenon_Ray

We've had a production error and we're reuploading now, apologies :(

Yeah these are known by the team, I've started to make posts gathering info on this stuff to make them aware so we can sort, we're on it!

I'm fully aware, and thats what I am saying. Many issues still persist. First "fix" last week. Breaks a bunch of things. Then you have to launch 2 seperste fixes, who do solve the crashes for some people which is great. BUT the first "fix" has still left more things broken then the 2 newest have fixed from that one. That's why I am asking why you guys don't revert a breaking fix and then properly QA it instead of trying to fix multiple times over a live "fix" that leaves shit broken. It's so extremely backwards to me.

Trust me when I say reverting is not as simple as the word implies, the warmfix we released which introduced the initial teleporting issue was a huge NXT update, so to simply revert that would not have been ideal, we always want to move forward with updates and if that means having to emergency warmfix something to address this, that's what we'll do.

And ya'll just leave that in the game. A "fix" that just brakes more things. Why don't revert the first game-breaking "fix". Why? Why is that a thing that is actually happening in this game right now?

I'll take it you haven't seen the two warmfixes we've released since?

Since the time of those crashes, we've released two different warmfixes over the last couple days addressing these issues, so this isn't an issue in the game now.

Just to clarify how this'll work.

You won't be forced to do any, you can decide how you want to tackle that daily by doing the following:

  • Complete a perfect Shifting Tomb
  • Complete an Elite Dungeon (non-story mode)
  • Complete a complexity 6 dungeon

Okay let’s do a bit of a deep dive

When it comes to dead clicks we need to investigate a lot, in short it could be likely that server lag is associated with “dead clicks” since if the server has a delayed cycle then your action becomes delayed hence the dead click you’re getting.

We have been quiet yes however I can tell you that we have people looking into game script optimisations where possible, this could mean that with scripts that are a little more optimised servers may not miss cycles and thus clicking/doing actions should be better.

I’d love to promise a this will fix it all solution but I have a feeling we’ll have to take this one step at a time. We’ll try to communicate optimisations where possible in patch notes so you’re aware and can try to see if there’s any difference in your experience.

I hope this explains it a little!

I’m very confused as to how my comment isn’t showing :(

Yeah we wanted to communicate this as soon as we knew.

While we can't release it for the next week as mentioned in that tweet /u/JagexOrion took that opportunity to add a few more QoL's for it.

It's a hype update so hopefully it'll be with us soon :)

First of all, what the hell insane luck and that's why HSR pays off when it procs.

Secondly, that chat reaction is absolute gold.

It'd be nice if there were a better way to forcefully make NXT load the entire cache before logging in. Right now you can sit in the lobby to do this, but it isn't very clear when it's done and most people don't know about it. Just a button and a progress bar would be good enough.

I agree, I've suggested if we can add a way to make it more visible, maybe even stop players logging in until they've downloaded an "optimum" amount of the cache?

No matter how long i leave the client in lobby or use it ingame, it feels like everything has to reload back in every day and even in the same session if you're teleporting around the models and whatnot cant keep up. Sure in java it takes like 5mins before i can really use the client when i boot it up (which nxt needs also before its usable) but atleast then everythings already loaded up when i teleport around

Ohh and similarly the bank, omg its annoying cus every time you reload the client you have to scroll down and load up every item one by one

Plus something even more annoying, whenever i've got the nxt client on it makes a static noise come through my speakers, never had anything of the sort from anything else. Gets even worse when you move the camera cus then its almost like a buzzing

Also do NOT axe java before you fix the bug that prevents certain items (like cosmetic event tokens) from appearing on the ge. That bug is getting more frequent it feels

I can tell you that this bug in particular has now been fixed, the rest of your feedback (thank you btw!) I'll chase up
