Why does almost every drop down box have to load now when they used to be instant because holy shit it's annoying. Can't even load a different interface preset without it needing to load the drop down box....why???? Chatbox settings loads, almost every drop down in the settings has to load. This never used to be a thing and only happened a few updates ago... can this be fixed.
This won’t be fixed for a good reason
It’s actually one of the best quality of life updates this year, the reasoning for the loading is that the data has a chance to send to your client before you can select it and nothing happens
A prime example of where this happens is with the clan noticeboard where because people had become so proficient at going through the drop downs if they pressed them too quickly when switching it wouldn’t save the data despite the client visually showing it has.
Trust me that update is invaluable
I spent 15 minutes going through the interface/gameplay options and some googling to figure out how to disable the legacy interface after a 10 month break. First of all, why did it enable itself? And more importantly, why does it have its own hidden tab and not in the gameplay/interface tab where everyone would expect it?
I believe if you're away for a while we add the legacy interface to returning players to try and not overwhelm them and see if the onboarding is easier.
If you think it's hidden that can be an issue in it's own right but again always room for improvement :)
