Baller alert! The second update for the next-gen version of NBA 2K21 is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing multiple improvements, fixes, polish and quality of life changes to the game across multiple modes. Some of the highlights in this update include gameplay adjustments around player movement and contact dunks, The City performance, new player likeness improvements and more. Here’s the full details!

• Continued improvements of the Lower Bowl feature across all NBA arenas

The Season of Giving has come to MyTEAM for Season 3! It is a festive time of year and the next six weeks in MyTEAM will be focusing on the many ways you can earn and receive new Reward Cards, including the first Galaxy Opal players! November has already been an exciting month for MyTEAM, with the launch of Next Gen and thirteen 2020 rookies added to the nearly 1,000 player cards available now in the mode. There is a LOT to go over, so let’s get into it!

Cutting straight to the chase, Galaxy Opal Dwyane Wade is your Level 40 reward in Season 3! You’ll be giving plenty of assists with ‘Flash’ as this card will be PG eligible when he enters lineups later this season, and will be the first straight-up Galaxy Opal reward card we’ll see on MyTEAM courts (outside of evolution Elgin Baylor, we can’t wait for the NBA Season to get started Domination fans!). It’s an exciting time for veteran and new ballers around the world – the next-gen version NBA 2K21 is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S! Though we’ve only just launched, the Visual Concepts team is already working hard on making sure players have a great experience in the game. Our first update for NBA 2K21 on next-gen is now available, bringing updates to player likeness, performance improvements in The City, polish changes and fixes across MyCAREER and more. Spooky season has descended to 2K Beach and a new update is now available for NBA 2K21*! In the third update, Visual Concepts has made a series of improvements and fixes across the game, including new Halloween-themed decorations in the Neighborhood and preparations for the upcoming second Season of MyTEAM. General

• Halloween has come to 2K Beach! Beachgoers will now find Halloween themed decorations throughout the Neighborhood.
• Player likenesses have been improved for more than 60 NBA and WNBA players.
• Welcome to the NBA Finals! Heat vs. Lakers is now the default Quick Play matchup.
• Preparations for new 2K Beach Events coming later in October and November. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!

NBA 2K21 Next Gen Gameplay Courtside Report #2 - Movement & Contact

Welcome back to part two of our three-part Courtside Report series on next-gen gameplay! Last week I talked about some of the great additions you can expect to try out with the shooting, dribbling, and passing when you get the game in your hands this November. Attention, ballers! The Visual Concepts team has been continuing their efforts in improving and polishing NBA 2K21 and we're excited to share that the second patch is now available across platforms! This update brings plenty of fixes and adjustments, including a slew of balance changes to dribbling that expand your options for breaking down your opponents. Check out the full details below:

It’s been less than two weeks since NBA 2K21 launched and we’re already seeing some incredible ballers dominate the virtual courts! The team at Visual Concepts has been hard at work since launch, taking a look at community feedback and tuning up areas of the game across all game modes. Included in this patch are adjustments to the Pro Stick Aiming system to improve for usability and consistency. Hello everyone! Erick Boenisch, executive producer at Visual Concepts, back once again. It feels like just yesterday that I was writing the MyTEAM Developer Diary for NBA 2K20! Writing this piece every year is something I very much look forward to; the team here at Visual Concepts makes it easy with their endless ambition and relentless work ethic.

This has been an interesting year for, well, all of us. Our world has changed in many ways. The way we go about our lives is very different than it was at this time last year, but one item that has remained constant is the drive and ambition behind the team working on MyTEAM. We designed much of this game from our homes. Thanks to Zoom, I now know the name and face of every kid that has a parent working on MyTEAM. You better believe they made sure to make cameos during meetings. From our homes to yours, let’s learn about what we have in store for you in NBA 2K21!
