Yep. It is never a good thing to design a mechanic that forces the player base to hate each other. Starve a community and even good people will fight for a few scraps of food.

Outriders here I come after grinding through two adaptations of this game I've officially given up on them ever attempting to make it enjoyable. I will still log on to hang with my dudes and people that generally try to make the game fun. Money I will not throw towards any future development disappointments. I love dungeons and I enjoy running pvp events (regardless how many broken types there are) but they keep driving wedges between players. I've seen people I've played from day 1 that just wanted to help become ostrich sided and turn due to only wanted to be able to run content. Broken mechanics and percentages and skills being nerfed and or not working as advertised is a plague with crit caps and apparent invulnerability not mentioned in patch notes. Game throwing and breaking at every turn. Apparently we are all wrong and the end game is fishing.
Outriders is a goo alternative. I'm also really looking forward to it. Hope things improve so you can find joy here again ;)
Just fyi, i know a bunch of people who have this and havent thrown real money at it... weve just been griding nonstop for it.
I.e i saved up starseeds and have spent 5mil starseeds that i earned in game getting the items to start the quest on day 3.
That aside you got a good portion of what you need to do wrong. Yea the drops from oathkeepers are needed, but they are also available through fishing.
Yes pvp guilds will dominate some of these, but some are in non disputed zones so pvers wont have to contest with it.
Finally for the ornament relics those estate workers come from ancient chests, and you can also get them from fishing and fishing competitions.
This update has done a good job of balancing the pvp open world wars that some enjoy while not preventing the pve and casuals from getting things too. Padana is even undisputed ffs.
I know not everybody is spending real money, but I know of a few that have. This was more a critique on a system that makes people feel this is necessary than it is on those people.
I didn't know the fishing rewards overlap with oathkeeper. That's good news thank you. From what I hear all of the corrupted node spawns have been moved exclusively to disputed zones.
I agree this update has done a lot more good than bad. Ive been singing its praises. That doesn't make it less ridiculous that we are somehow expected to squeeze a few hundred people through a door wide enough for 2 every few hours. It's mostly about people taking out their frustrations on each other
Yeah it is like throwing a few paper towel rolls and a box of cereal into a large crowd of starving hurricane victims every four hours. All for something that would be good if you could actually afford to get it to mythic but... No red armor paetons. The developers are playing a very cruel joke. I know you want to slow the progress to keep the game alive. Np. Give me slow progress. Give me rng. Give me endless dungeons or scavenger hunts. Dont make me stand around 30 other desperate people and play catch the rabbit.

Great video, I personally don’t want to be fighting against the community/other players in order to get an ancient weapon, and furthermore I love this game I’m hooked, but I work and I cannot stand around for hours trying to get an ancient weapon so the only thing I can do is get ripped off on the marketplace by players or miss out. I like the alternatives presented in the video, such as hard ass time trials, etc. Sounds like fun and something to look forward to, instead of standing round waiting or saving up ridiculous amounts of star seeds for the items needed.
I feel like if we could decide for ourselves when we do activities everyone would be more consistently active across the board

What do the Telarion Oathkeepers do in this case?
A bunch of people pvp fight over a single corrupted ore. Whoever carries it to the oathkeeper gets a chest. Ancient weapon material will probably be in there

There are smugglers in non PvP zones right? And I’m sure smugglers will be super crowded right now since it’s new. I will wait until it dies down. I kinda want to try the attack speed build since it shortens cooldowns of skills as well.
Most of the smugglers are in non-disputed zones, so I think most of this issue is happening in global chat and on social media. People don't miss an opportunity to be dicks to each other :p You're right though it will get better after the initial rush
