Brunachos said: Well, I believe it is a crash, I can't save new empires, nor select the ones I already created: the game closes, I am sent to desktop with a crash report window opend for me. I am reporting the crashes then, not sure if it is worth something.
Also, don't know where to find said logs. Mine is a GOG version, just don't find the folders
If you are on Windows, go to your documents folder, then Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\crashes, and there should be a folder made timestamped every time you crash that you can zip up.

lantzk said: Can no longer reproduce. Only things I did:

-purchase/install Aquatic pack
-log in to paradox account in launcher

Not sure if those were related to resolution, or just incidental.
Seems like a tricky one. Glad it seems to have gone away for now - but if it happens again feel free to raise the alarm again. =)

I would like to take the chance and report that I am facing exactaly the same issue. It is not laguage related, I am not messing with gender options and I also play no mods. Just cannot start game with new content.
Are you also crashing, or is it another symptom? If it's a crash, please attach your logs.

VerKer said: I have a similar problem since 3.2.1 and installing the aquatics species pack, my game goes CTD as soon as the galaxy is being created, that is about mid of the loading bar when it writes "loading map graphics". Does not seem to matter if I use my mod playset or if I dont.

PC / steam. Playing the english game version, with all DLCs installed / active.
Could you please attach your crash logs?

We've encountered a few cases of permission issues after updating. To see if this is the same thing, could you try rolling the install back to the previous version and then updating to the newest one again, to see if that makes a difference?

Awesome, glad to hear it!

Thanks. Looking at the logs, it looks like there's some issues with the write permissions to the file (or folder) where the custom empires are stored.

Just in case it affects, could I check if you have recently done a clean install, or if you simply updated from the previous version. Also, are using Steam, Paradox Launcher, or another platform?

danmilz said: Hi all,

I have the same problem, attached a few logs. It also happens when you toggle "allow spawning"
Thanks for the logs. =)

Could I check which language you're running?

Thank you for reporting this!

We have reported and escalated this issue. For a temporary workaround, it shouldn't crash in English as the bug only affects some languages.

For the "disabling already made custom empires", we are not able to reproduce this crash currently - are there more details that may affect it in the empire you have created?

Hello.

Three quick questions:
1) Which language are you running the game in?
2) Are there any particular options you've consistently picked with this empire? We are aware of an issue with the gender toggles in empire creation on some languages, so we need to know if this could be covered by that, or is something different.
3) Could you please attach your crash logs. It's ever so much more helpful than meme images.

I hope this information is useful, please let me know if you have any more questions or if I can make specific testing for you. I am willing to cooperate as much as I can on this if it means we can finally resolve this issue.

Hi, QA weighing in as well!

I definitely know the issue you are talking about - it's one that we've known about and struggling with (and have partially fixed in waves), especially since as you say it gets very disruptive. In testing, we've now been fortunate enough to not see it in a long time (because even when it was fixed not to disrupt the shipyards, having "-1" ships queued in the fleet manager meant that those slots didn't reinforce, which meant you needed to constantly disband and reform fleets, etc.

Do you have any saves or regular occurrences of this happening in Necroids? I _think_ this may have been found and resolved in versions-as-of-yet-unreleased version but if you have a setup where this happens regularly for you then we can run that through the paces on both the current live build and some of the work-in-progress ones.

Hi! Thank you for the report - though you may have slightly overplayed the seriousness of the issue. ;)

Either way, had a look at it and don't think that the problem is quite there (though I can see your interpretation) - it's essentially saying that once the scientist used the data to adjust the orbit and planetary position, the indicator beams were suddenly converging on another planet in the system.

That said, looking over the text I spotted two other grammatical issues that could need fixing, so have forwarded that (as well as your issue in case the writers disagree with me) internally for a text update.

Hi. Thanks for the report - as pointed out by hart30, the behaviour comes from being unable to shift your capital and sector capitals during wartime, which can lead to strangely shifted sectors until you are at peace again and can reform the sectors to your liking.

War is messy business...

Looking at your attachment again (and the file), I think notepad++ is getting confused here due to line 1108 - it's a line with an opening bracket, but it's commented out - yet the bracket highlighting is still taking it into account.

Hi,

Could you please supply a save where this is easily reproducable? That would be most helpful.

Hi! Thank you very much for the report.

Could you please attach a save with the error present?
