As far as I can tell, I can still run the list in Bo1 currently. I'm hoping this is a bug and not an accidental leak of an upcoming Bo1 ban for Teferi?

This is a bug; that message is intended for cards like [[Mastermind’s Acquisition]], but it looks like Teferi is inadvertently triggering it too. Thanks for the report.

Stupid phone; this was meant to be in response to Teferi, Hero of Dominaria showing the “requires a sideboard” message

Edit: I have confirmed playing with a buddy of mine that [[Ritual of Soot]] does not target saprolings anymore, therefore not triggering [[Poison-Tip Archer]] or [[Slimefoot, the Stowaway]].

Just played [[Ritual of Soot]] and none of my saproling tokens were destroyed to trigger [[Poison-Tip Archer]].

Has something changed or is this a bug? This tactic literally worked before the update.

Thanks for the report; we've tried this multiple times locally and keep getting the proper behavior. Could you upload screenshots or a video?

Unfortunately no; that one requires deeper surgery to fix. We're in-process on that surgery, but the fix is not in this build

Triggers are auto-ordered by default; you can turn this off in the gameplay options

As a couple others have said, if you turn on full control it will always ask you. In general, if you feel like Arena isn’t following the rules to the letter, turn on full control and it will.

We’ve tried :( Seems like there’s still a small window where this can happen. We’re looking at it now to see how this can still occur. Did you have a sideboard? Knowing that will help us narrow down the problem.

Yeah, it's a great game as well. Still haven't used the headhunter yet, have to get by with inspired learning.

Afaik some of the devs are trying out ssf as well, got to admire the dedication!

Oh yeah, I’m always ssf; have been basically since the option was available. Feels like playing “limited” poe.

In fact, lots of Poe maps are named after mtg cards

Several of the developers of Arena are long-time poe aficionados and, uh, one of us got a Headhunter this league?

The deck with just [Rukh Egg] (no lands) was pretty funny too. Note that the original text had the token created anytime the card went to the graveyard, including discard.

Not sure if you know this (so maybe I'm whooshing here), but the person who posted the original version of this meme (/u/SpanglishFran) is the Arena dev who worked on the Sparky AI. Turning his own meme against his lovely creation is a pretty delicious turn of events. Bolas is pleased.

Thanks for this OP; was a fun minor heart attack when I saw it yesterday morning: “I thought all the codes were getting announced during the broadcast? I don’t even remember this code; what the hell is .... ohhhh. Nice. Nice. Good Game.”

Before people freak out; you can use any version of a card as long as one version is legal in that format, so as long as a card is reprinted, any old style will also be usable.

Has this been confirmed? I asked about this on the MTGA forum once and the only reply I got was from someone who said that was still unclear. That was last week, before the update, though.

Yes, it works this way. From the cosmetics FAQ (https://forums.mtgarena.com/forums/threads/53744):

HOW WILL CARD STYLES WORK WITH ROTATION?

After the fall set rotation, you will have ways to continue to play with all the cards in your collection. This includes using any card styles those cards may have.

Additionally, if a card is legal in a particular format you will have the option to use any card that has the same name as it regardless of the illustration. Card styles for the older versions of cards reprinted with new illustrations will still function if you’re using the older version of the card in your deck.

For example, once Core Set 2019 and Rivals of Ixalan rotate out of Standard, you will still be able to use your copies of ...

Nope, the only reason we did this is that making games is hard and sometimes you miss things. It’s a bug, we’re working to get it fixed.

There was a miscommunication - the correct code is "SuperScry" (no quotes). We'll be correcting on broadcast soon as well.
