Seriously, this was going to be awesome for everyone involved until some jerk got grubby stupid greedyfingers. This is the most rage-inducing part of my day, along with the justification that a single 30-second preroll per viewer is "more valuable" than 3-6 3-minute hourly ad breaks. That doesn't pass the sniff test. It doesn't even pass the basic logic test.

Right now the dashboard saves in local storage. So if you reset cookies or change machines it will reset. We are working on persistence across machines as well as a way to set different layouts for different channels if you are an editor using the dashboard on someone else's channel.

Hey there! One feature I notice was removed was the ability to open up analytics, channel settings, etc in a separate tab. Now the only option is to left click which redirects the whole page. I mean sure I can duplicate that tab then go back, but it's very inconvenient. Can you please add the option back to right click and open in new tab? Thanks!

Thanks for reporting, one of our team also caught this and we will be bringing it back.

We worked on the hotfix for this. It should be live now so editor access to video and such should be working.

It might be the URL patterns because it's now dashboard.

We're gonna add it back for all users. Currently it only shows if you have a sub goal for an emote unlock. (so Partners who have hit 10k and Affiliates who have hit 50 would not see it)

Hi Everyone!

We added an easter egg to the Creator Dashboard / Stream Manager to allow you to add / remove elements on the page (including Edit Stream Information).

Just go and push UP + UP + DOWN + DOWN + LEFT + RIGHT + LEFT + RIGHT + B + A to bring up this hidden menu.

Some of you might be asking... WTF? Why is this not just regular functionality? Why are you hiding it? You're dumb!

(hint: the last one isn't a question, but it might be true)

I'm posting this to share that we're continuing to invest in improvements. But simply put, the nice add/remove (which wouldn't require reloading) is not ready for prime time yet. We've been working hard with other teams to incorporate a seamless solution, but we aren't at a point where we think you'll be happy with it. At the same time, we know this is functionality many of you really rely on in the old dashboard, so we wanted to give those power users a way to add/remove.

"Ok idiot, why are you...

Awesome, thanks for the report. I'll get both the activity feed and channel points teams to look into this.

Can you give me slightly more detail? 1. Can you confirm this is new dashboard? (or old dashboard, or both). 2. Can you share the settings for the redemption that you've configured?

I know the team is actively working on an API that allows you to read redemptions for your channel. If that's a bit difficult to figure out (when it's released) then definitely try to get your bot to do it.

I anticipate that there will be extensions developers who actively try to engage with rewards this way, but running it locally will probably always have the best experience for your viewers.

The resizing issues I have with it are somewhat covered as well by FGSquared's comment. The elements resize to fit the space but not intuitively and additionally it doesnt seem to support scrolling? If I, for instance, have 6 items (3across, 2 high) and shrink the full browser to half height, it jams every widget into that space versus hitting a minimum size and then scrolling.

My use case for it is (again as FG mentioned) at-a-glance stuff. It is the only place I can see channel point redemptions (when chat gets moving they get lost fast otherwise). The other stuff requires me to dive out of the game to engage with (like ad breaks) but I dont need to have that stuff jammed in the window. So scrolling down to it would be fine (as with the current dashboard).

If, based on your comment, most people pop out the elements they need, would there be...

We’ll look into that. I think we’ve been having issues reproducing the activity feed failures, so let me give them this info.

We can definitely explore stats in popout :) hadn’t thought of that.

totally understood. We have a lot of data to suggest that most people don't have this window open when live, many people have the stats tab collapsed, etc.

There are ways we could explore this, the majority of streams I see that engage in goals related to staff typically have it in their streams and therefore in their stream previews as well.

Happy to provide a bit more context to all of these things. Let me just preface by saying our intent is to continuously update this product and make it more configurable and useable by all streamers (and editors).

  • We're looking into this bug with Activity Feed (what I'm interpreting you mean by event list). This seems like a more recent bug.
  • Unfortunately, we've communicated very candidly that we do not test BTTV or FFZ when developing products, I do not believe that policy will change
  • We will be adding more top stats and adding the ability to add/remove to suit your needs. Our primary solve with stream health today was to be able to indicate when there's a problem. We can absolutely add a bitrate number as an option in addition to bitrate graph.
  • Would love to hear more about what the expected behavior is with resizing. I think generally speaking anchoring within a window creates certain issues, which is why many users prefer popout.

My intention was to give you / your developers a starting point, because the bootstrap documentation happens to also be a good accessibility documentation :)

So I just wanted to suggest it as a first reference, especially since it not only has examples for HTML Elements (Input, textarea) but also concepts (like modal dialogs, complex navigations etc.)

Hope it helps.

We had a couple of calls yesterday with BlindlyPlayingGames and SuperBlindMan. It was a very healthy dialogue with specific things that we're taking away from it. It actually seems like there were very specific changes that we made that ended up hurting overall accessibility, where other things were still performing well. Luckily many of the things we build are reused throughout the site, which means addressing some changes in one place will cascade to other places.

We also identified that we've had issues routing these reports to the right team to take care of them. We'll be working on that as well, but I am happy to extend an open offer to help direct feedback to the right teams at Twitch.

Be looking for some of the changes that were discussed on the calls to be reflected in the Creator Updates section of the dashboard.

I posted in the other thread, but I just found this one too.

I'm the Product Manager on the new Creator Dashboard, and you can reach out to me directly, I'd love to talk about this and get a better understanding. Our goal was to make this page easier to use; it's clear that we also made it harder to use as well.

I can't speak for other teams but I can promise that we will be prioritizing work for the Dashboard related to accessibility bugs and features.

I'm bad at Reddit DMs but if you ping me a Discord or a Twitter profile, I'll follow up 100%.

FWIW This hit me right in the feels.

I'm the Product Manager responsible for the new Dashboard. I'm reaching out the Brandon directly, as well as reviewing and prioritizing outstanding accessibility tickets and features.

I can't, won't, pin the blame on anyone or anything in particular; but I will promise to do better.
