People of The Fog,
As some of you may have noticed, we launched the Chapter 11 Demise of the Faithful PTB with some slight changes to the Emblem System. This is the first step in an ongoing effort to improve our ranking and Emblem System. Therefore, we want to provide you with information on how these changes may affect your matches and overall rank in Dead by Daylight.
There have been many community concerns recently regarding the current state of ranking. We wanted to address these concerns by adjusting the system to provide an incremental difficulty scale in both achieving and maintaining higher ranks. Each rank group (color) now sets its own requirements for pipping thresholds rather than remaining a static goal no matter how high in rank you climb.
In addition to the changes to pipping and ranking, there were several changes made to Killer emblem scoring. Killers have been generally pipping at a...

The Dead by Daylight team is pleased to present its newest release, Demise of the Faithful, which includes a new map, a new Killer and a new Survivor.
We are very proud to introduce our “oldest” Killer in the game: The Plague. This High Priestess of Babylon was well known for her wealth, beauty, and devotion. In a time when a dark sickness had resurfaced, she was driven by her blind faith to save her followers… and herself. But nothing could save her. Not even faith.

Read moreOver the past six months, we have allocated strike teams with the mission of improving the overall health of the game. As announced last December, we have developers working on a new matchmaking algorithm which we are actively testing and are almost ready to deploy. We are also targeting to migrate the game to dedicated servers by the end of summer 2019.
This blog post is meant to update you on the efforts put on optimization, which aim to enhance the overall game’s performance.
When we first released Dead by Daylight back in 2016, we targeted 30 FPS on our minimum spec. Up until recently, we optimized the game in bursts; for the console launch and before releasing a new Killer. We are now ready to set a new performance target: Dead by daylight will run at 60 FPS on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and minimum spec PCs.
Reaching 60 FPS on Dead by Daylight is not an ea...

Decisive Strike is one of Laurie Strode’s unique perks, which was released with Chapter II: HALLOWEEN in October of 2016. We introduced Decisive Strike as a perk option to help give Survivors a second wind, and an opportunity to escape their inevitable demise.
Over the course of the last few years, Decisive Strike has been a point of contention amongst our community, and as a result, the perk has had an interesting journey since its inception.
Decisive Strike has gone through some minor changes to arrive at its current state. Additionally, we have also prototyped entire reworks of the perk, some that we previously spoke of with the community. Ultimately, most of these ideas were shelved as we felt that they did not retain the essence of the perk, nor did they provide an overall improvement to the current version.
Behaviour® is proud to inform it’s Dead by Daylight fans they have signed a retail distribution agreement with Koch Media to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch™. This partnership includes all territories except China.
This brand-new edition will launch in the fall of 2019 and it will burst with a ton of content, including Killers, Survivors, Maps, Chapters and Cosmetics.
“Bringing Dead by Daylight to the Nintendo Switch is yet another milestone in the game’s history and a personal dream of mine. Very soon, players will be able to bring their game along and continue serving the Entity on the bus, at work or at home. We are thrilled to be teaming up with Koch Media for the first time. I believe this is the beginning of a very fruitful partnership.” said Stephen Mulrooney, Senior Vice-President, Behaviour Interactive.

The 2.4.0 update is now live on PC.
The Darkness Among Us chapter is available on the Steam Store.
The Characters are available in the Dead by Daylight store.
Content already unlocked might disappear from the player's inventory after purchasing the Darkness Among Us Content with Auric Cells or Iridescent Shards. The work around is to restart your application.
The updated engine has added support for many new features (especially in Audio & Rendering), but also caused some incompatibility with existing features the game relied on. As such, we have re-balanced a few very important components of the game (lighting, fog, sound & occlusion)

What about The Shattered Bloodline Chapter?
We are aiming for a release next week on all platform. That doesn't mean it will be simultaneous / same day. If we are running into delays, the Community will be informed.
What about the promised Bloodhunt?
We wanted to have the Bloodhunt before the end of summer but due to unforseen circumstances, we had to push it a bit later.
