Mark1, the gameplay programmer, came up with the affix for it. We were kicking around with a few things that fit with the league (it was meant to work specifically with the league mechanic (Nemesis), but none of them quite worked, until Mark said he could do the affix that works oh so well on Headhunter.

The Gull was the sibling unique, which was the one for Domination.

I strongly suspect this was from whoever doing the patchnotes, rather than who did the balance changes. The person doing the changes likely did a bunch of before and after testing. (Also possible they did the changes to what felt right, and then used the wiki in the commit note, but that seems unlikely).

Haven't been involved in the process there for a long time, but that would be my guess as to what happened here.

(Sorry to whoever did the patch notes if I just did you wrong )

What I most like about this chart is seeing something I didn't recognise, and going "what the hell" and then I needed to look it up.

I vaguely remember this as being the ones summoning Grandmasters that were not found.

Thanks for the kind messages everyone!

As some people seem curious: I am very happy (and proud!) of my time and work at GGG. The founders and staff at GGG are some of my favourite people in the world, and I think you will all enjoy the upcoming ExileCon event and 3.9.0 (& 3.10 etc) and 4.0.0 releases.

I like to think that my departure won't change the quality of anything, the last few months I have been focused on passing on what I do to other people, and the last few weeks got to focus on a seperate interesting minor thing. Game design and balance has been essentially in other hands for few releases while I have had a more bird's eye/production view.

I am going to work at another company, (much smaller than GGG), focusing on game design.

I plan to play some Path of Exile and see what the game brings and community gets up to. One of my favourite things is to see the interesting unexpected things that occur when a large dedicated community interacts...

SSF BTW, ran out of sextants, so just have to deal with those prox. shields.

I've noticed since War that people seem to have exceedingly poor intuition for how big sextant range already is.

Unlike threshold jewels, they only require a map to be touched rather than the center of a map to be encompassed. That accounts for part of the misunderstanding. The other part is that people are bad at distances.

I had wondered if this was because we posted the Atlas image, and not a screen shot.

So the range (basically, the visual range, that's all we really need to care about) of sextants hasn't been increased? Because Burial Chambers, Waterways, Conservatory all look significantly further than the normal sextant range. For example, here's Burial Chambers (the case this tweet is related to) with the current sextant range put over it. Assuming I haven't been trolled and this image is accurate to the current size (I did not make the image, credit to Aquagen in the discord for showing it to me and possible making it), it's not really close, there's a noticeable gap there.

Mine looks fine, and I am pretty sure the range has not increased. https://i.imgur.com/8MzWuof.png

So, the only change here is that the tool we use for laying out the Atlas was massively improved. The designer who did the layout ensured that each map had a minimum of four neighbours in Sextant distance (and therefore an be affected by five sextants).

I have added this clarification to the section on Veiled mods: Clarification - the removed ranks of veiled mods are the initial lower powered ranks, to account for the later introduction of Jun.

Labyrinth ladders don't exist for private leagues, and daily jewel rewards are not distributed to characters in private leagues.

Because the idea OP had was that since loreweave can be elder/shaper due to the inputs, loreweave should be able to be foil too. It depends on GGG's design philosophy regarding foils.

This series of reliquary items is league specific items. Having the craftable league specific items (like The Taming) still available "in foil" works, not so items outside the series (like Loreweave).

However, in the future there may be other reliquary sets that may make other items available.

This wasn't intended? lol

Also, foiled Retch recipe but no Loreweave?

Also, still when using jeweler's orb on resonators we get error it does not have any sockets.

Loreweave is not a League only item.

We have determined the problem, and a fix is in the way. We didn’t have the problem occur on the staging environments, so QA did not see the problem.

Once the fix is out, you should be able to start your client to patch into a good state.
