Submarines return to testing after the break. See what’s changed since the last session.

For this next round of tests, we tried to address two main issues highlighted by the community: the difficulty for surface ships to detect and interact with submarines; and the inconsistent damage dealt by submarines themselves. As a result, we are hoping the interactions between subs and surface ships will become more intuitive and predictable for both sides. To help catch you up on all the tweaks, here’s a quick rundown of all the changes and their effects on submarine and anti-submarine gameplay.

We adjusted the parameters of some ships based on testing results. The changes will be applied to Pan-Asian cruisers, Dido, Canarias, and some other ships. There are also changes to the camera settings for attack aircraft and torpedo bombers of soviet carriers.

It's been 2 intense weeks since Submarines entered Random Battles, and we're eager to discuss your feedback and how we plan to address it. The changes described below are scheduled to be released in the next big update — 0.10.10.

As was previously announced, there will be balance changes made to Petropavlovsk, Zao, and F.D. Roosevelt in update 0.10.10. These small changes are required in order to carefully adjust the balance of these warships. Further changes may follow in future updates, should they be required. Soon we will surely share more information about the reasons for changes to particular ships in a separate publication. Besides, in the first half of November, we will also release a video where we will provide a more detailed information on how we work on ship's balance.
