Hi there, today I'm here to share a solution that I discovered that helped me reduce my ping and keep it consistently low. The best part is that it's free.

Before I tell you the solution I want to make it clear what it does and doesn't fix.

It will fix bad routing, and cases where sometimes you have low ping but sometimes high. It may or may not also fix some connection issues that you face while gaming.

It will not magically reduce the ping caused by geographical distance however, so don't expect to get low ping on a data center located in a far away country.

Keep in mind that some problems can only be fixed by your internet service provider.

Now that I've clarified that, let's move on to the solution.

Google search Cloudflare Warp. (Not Warp+, that's paid) Its also known as 1.1.1.1

Download their Windows app from the app choices. Install it, and you'll see a cloud icon appear at the bottom right of your screen. Click on it and turn it ON. Now start Valorant and it should help you get the quickest route to the data center/server and lower your ping.

Some things I want to add: even though I trust Cloudflare, we are still using their free service so I would always assume your data is not private so only use this for gaming. This is NOT a VPN. It is not as secure as a paid VPN by any means. My recommendation is that you turn it on before launching the game and then turn it off after you are finished playing Valorant. I also do not recommend downloading the phone app for same reason.

Disclaimer: I'm simply a player who found a solution so I'm sharing it with the community. Do your own research before doing any of the steps I've told you. You and only you will be responsible for whatever may happen. Do your own research.

It is a VPN

I see. Riot Support told me VPNs are absolutely fine to use so I hope I'm good. Although it does result in shots being registered late

No issues I am aware of with using VPNs. If they work for you then use one. They do not improve things for everyone and they do add a large amount of overhead so you will use more bandwidth per game while on one.
