Take a listen in-game and let me know what you think. We worked really hard to get the audio right for Reaver and the videos may make it hard to tell. We used Ruination Phantom as a comparison for how far to push it and applied the same thinking to Reaver. As a fan of Reaver, I think we did a great job with all 3 silenced guns, especially the Phantom.
The thing is the reaver honestly doesn't have much sound aside from some echo and the iconic ping on kill. The problem here is the phantom just having really shit base sounds imo.
Also I think Ruination Phantom is more reaver than this one
Reaver guns also have multiple varying equip sounds as you spam equip. If you see it in-game lmk what you think.

At first I felt a bit off. But I watched the showcase way too many times - I’ve been really keen for this bundle - and at this point, I love it. I’m especially liking the Phantom firing sounds, which is definitely the gun I was most keen for, but the other guns (especially Odin) hit hard as well. The Phantom has this unique sound that almost feels like it doesn’t belong as a gunshot, but for some reason it works so ridiculously well
I think I do see what people mean when they compare the audio (and the skins in general) to Ruination, but the similarity isn’t strong enough to bother me. I can understand the difficulty the team went through to make these skins have that same ‘impact’ we felt in the first Reaver set, and to make them different enough from other skin lines. I’ll definitely enjoy swapping between Reaver and Ruination skins, especially playing those edgy characters that fit the aesthetic (like Fade and Omen)
Overall, very happy with the work you guys put into it and I’m definitely using pretty much every skin. Great stuff
