Hi @RonPaul,

I recommend trying our other remaining solutions here:

  1. Run steam as an admin
  2. reverify your game data
  3. disable your anti-virus

Can you also provide your darktide launcher logs
Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here

If the log isnt being generated that’s odd. You’re trying to launch the game through steam directly correct? Can you disable your anti-virus entirely as it sounds like its preventing something from being written

When you re-launch the game through steam it should re-create the appdata folder. If its not being created can you double check you’re running steam itself as an administrator? That should launch the game with the necessary persmissions to re-create the appdata folder

I guess can you try running the launcher as an admin? The fact that the appdata is not being generated is peculiar

Can you download the latest dot net from Microsoft and install/repair

REBOOT your computer after you do this

I’d try running a full windows update on your system

Its unfortunate you had to rebuild your system to fix the problem but I’m glad you got it resolved.

Sorry you had to go to these lengths, but I’m glad to hear you resolved this. Thank you for the update and sharing your solution!
