We’re in talks with our Anti-Cheat provider, sorry we have no workarounds at current. We appreciate this sucks.

Could you go to:

\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries

and delete Vermintide2.exe.

Then go to:

\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12

and delete vermintide2_dx12.exe

Then run the verification tool. I know it’s a similar process, but we want to rule this out.

EAC have asked us to ask users to run through this as a quick sanity check:

We get it, it’s a silly test but it’s part of the process. This is still being looked in to by both parties, ourselves and EAC. Thanks for the help so far.

We are still investigating, big time, it’s our highest priority. Which anti-virus are you folks using?

Indeed, a very suspicious pattern. We’re checking it out.

No idea what BullGuard is. It’s a virus protection? Try disabling/uninstalling it and then launching the game?

Anti-Virus learns from the past, and evolves during it’s time on a PC. It could be something has changed that has triggered Bullguard. I’ve just installed BullGuard myself and have no troubles launching the game, but it certainly seems the pattern cannot be ignored all the same. Users are experiencing some success with BullGuard disabled, so it’s a lead - and we’re running with it. News soon I hope.
