[2023] Audio Cues Re-Broken

Hi @all,

I’ve spoken with one of our Audio Developers about this, and they suggested to try the following please:

• Verify Integrity of Game Files

1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
2. Select ‘Properties’
3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

• Set Audio Channels to Stereo headphones (or speakers if you use speakers)

• Set Audio Quality to ‘High’

If this still doesn’t work as intended, there may be some local changes to your sound (e.g. some surround/5.1 headphones come with software to emulate surround or spatial sound) - please try disabling this if so.

From the testing we’ve done everything appears to be okay, but if there are cases where sounds are definitely not playing for you, then a video if possible of this happening would be very helpful

Lastly, if a Packmaster sound is not playing, then it means it’s likely sliding around and not playing its animation. This has been looked at before, but if this bug has returned then a video of this to confirm would be great and helpful for us to see what may have caused it.
