141 is correct for Soviet also. It was changed later on, not just internationally.
Given the MiG-29 was added last update and we just teased another Soviet jet, I would lower expectations about yet another being inside this patch.
Stay tuned for offical news and announcements. This is just a teaser.
Guys, appreciate there are a lot of questions on what X could be or what else is coming. But please keep in mind this is an update teaser.
More details will follow in the days ahead. Stay tuned to the news
Because as I have said multiple times now, this was a teaser and you should wait for the news. You might be reading into things a little too much.
I have no idea what your getting at here.
We didn't hype up a sub tree this patch. You were one of the ones doing that yourself.
We haven't announced anything yet, this was just a teaser. So stay tuned to the news
Having a high number built has never been a requirement to go into the tree. There are many tree vehciles with 1-5 examples built.
An improvement is planned for them this patch yes. You will find out in the patch notes.
Wait for the full list of vehciles and what their roles were irl and it will become more clear.
Some were even shown in the teaser
Not really. Sky Guardians can have another meaning too. Collectively it can apply to both air and ground.
Today is. But I'm British and in the UK. It's not a holiday here. It just rains.
I don't think we could collectively able able to handle that amount of sea salt )))
For anything BR related you have to wait until update release.
This is generally the way we always (with a few exceptions) introduce new trees to the game. So it really should not be a suprise at this point.
If you look back, you will find those trees were the exception and not the rule. Almost every air / ground tree or nation to the game since 2015 came first as packs followed by a full tree in a later update.
This updates focus is not the French Navy, as the full tree will be introduced later. But due to interest in them, like other trees before, this gives those that want something sooner rather than later and the ability to start playing with them now as well as get access to the tree later.
Given the name and what was shown in the teaser, I will leave that to you to conclude.
No news on that currently as we are not at that stage yet (CBT).
Aside from the smoking part (I don't), that's a pretty accurate representation. Coffee is a daily driver )))
How could I refer to something French as f*** yeah, don’t be ridiculous)
There’s De Moines, but it’s only a part of it.
Actually quite enjoyable watching the "I believe it belongs in X nation" debate game over it
This generally happens once ranks become more populated. Rank VIII currently only has 1-3 vehicles per nation. Most were moved from Rank VII.
No plans to return them currently. Also not the subject matter of this topic.
Sweden received those helicopters because there was no other viable alternative for them in that area. Germany and France both have their own options for 4th Generation jets without resorting to an aircraft they did not adopt.
Each nation and case must be taken individually. Its not a case of "Oh well X got Y, therefor we can get Z too!".
Italy has higher BR SPAAGs at the very least, so Japan and Israel are more of gap. We don't rule out viable options for them if / when they become available and possible.
But its not related to this major and not something there are any plans to talk about right now.
This wasn't an invitation to start an SPAA / SAM debate or discussion here guys. Do not go off topic.
Britain is receiving the Challenger 2E at top tier this patch. So I would adjust your expectations for that.
Believe it or not I don't sit in this topic all day/night. I actually require sleep.
And I have several times we have said or indicated nothing regarding a new nation. So I don't know why you keep making such assumptions.
There are multiple prototypes researchable in almost every tree.
Not every vehicle added has to be meta defining to be added. Otherwise most vehicles would be pointless to add.
They have no need for one and have the MiG-29 (9-12). This was the only option for Japan for now.
Its an F-16 project that was proposed for Japan. The aircraft is functionally a standard F-16 and with it being the only option for Japan currently for top tier for some time, it was the best choice for them.
Germany is receiving the MiG-29. This is being included for Japan as there are no other options for them currently. Its not the case for Germany.
Better missiles don't make it a 4th generation aircraft and wont fully suit Japans needs in the meantime until later aircraft arrive.
Minor yes indeed, but as I said functionally its still a standard F-16.
F-4EJ never had maverick.
A porotype F-2 would not have the capacity of this aircraft and even less is generally known. We have all the information required to introduce the F-16AJ and it fits the current meta perfectly, whilst also giving Japan the multirole platform they need most.
People are always free to ask and suggest. It doesn't mean that they will come however.
There is a big difference between a need and a "I want because they got X". See the Swedish helicopter situation.
As explained above, the XF-2 has:
1) Not a huge amount of solid information
2) Doesn't have the capacity of this aircraft (multirole)
This aircraft is basically the existing F-16 platform with minor modifications for Japan. It is the best fit for what Japan currently need, with the other options either being far to much currently and leaving Japan with a long wait.
This would be incorrect. F-2 is simply too advanced currently.
Not currently planned. Tallboy and Grandslam are very niche in their use unlike this bomb. Grandslam also required a unique Lancaster variant.
With some minor modifications. But its not being considered currently.
Firstly, that designation did not officially exist. We dont rule out entirely other versions or modifications. But this one is perfectly viable for now and suits the line its in fine.
Its possible it may receive some extra camos. But currently its too soon to say.
Its possible there may be something else other than those two. As always, things are not final currently.
Its possible. Both the American and Italian F-16s received a model update also to fully correct their appearance
Its possible the aircraft will appear in a future major update.
As always BRs will be reviewed once some time to see the effects has been gathered. Not beforehand.
The BR rises your referring too were part of an overall top tier Increase. Italy was no exception to every other nation in that.
Im not sure what explanation you need?
The Japanese F-4EJ Kai and increased to 11.7.
This patch, Germany gets the MiG-29 and the UK gets Tornado ADV.
Its possible that aircraft will be added in a future major update.
Japan got no new Rank VIII last patch whilst Germany and the UK did. The F-16AJ because it has no other 4th generation aircraft currently and wont for some time. Other aircraft are under consideration for other nations.
F-4F had a BR reduction and is performing fine at its current BR. The FGR/FG.1 are also sufficient at their BR. MiG-29 and Tornado provide new top fighters for both Germany and the UK.
My grandfather was an artillery captain and commanded a whole battery of these things. And the photo is taken in the museum I know since childhood cause it was basically next street (and you can climb on them freely which is awesome).
Thank you for trip down memory lane)
Right now we don't have plans for another F-4S at this time. The US tree already has several Phantom variants and there are many more US aircraft to add. Whilst its not entirely ruled out (never say never), it's not in any plans we have right now.
Currently it's WIP. More details will be available when it's closer to being finalised.
Sky Guardians is also named after the aircraft of the patch.
Tornado F.3 (Air Defence Variant), German MiG-29 (point defence interceptor), Yak-141 (Fleet defence) and F-16AJ (Interceptor/multirole).
You have to wait for details like this for when the ship is on production server already.
That is the whole point of pre-order, you know)
Nothing is final before update goes lives, especially such things as fire rate that may vary wildly depending on conditions/sources you use and that may be changed for balance purposes anyway.
We do not comment on vehicles generally planned for the future outside of Q&As or dev blogs.
Because all of those were either planned for that patch/immediately after and addressing some of the major gaps from the last update rectified in this one (Tornado F.3 / MiG-29 DDR / F-16AJ).
Please do not post source material marked with export restrictions without posting proof that it is fully declassified and no longer restricted. We reserve the right to remove any materials that show an export restriction if you have not posted clear proof it is no longer restricted.
If you believe something is incorrect and have fully declassified and non-export restricted material to use, then you can make a report about it here: https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder
I currently don't have any news that it will be within this update.
TOR-M1s radar has several modes in game. The default is simply used for the hanger UI.
As mentioned in the blog, the standard underwing AIM-7 was selected for implementation.
The production version of the STA-3 is the Type 61. A seperate vehcile.
The Yak-141 was a real Aircraft that flew which many people have been looking forward too and asking for. Everything is known and documented about it's armaments (that were mounted in tests and for displays, of which other aircraft in game also have) and what was going to be fitted to a production example. Our reasoning was detailed clearly in the blog today.
The 341 was a Panther hull with a wooden, non functional mockup turret, which we also found a more suitable replacement for. We explained our reasoning at the time for it's removal here: https://warthunder.com/en/news/6317-development-changes-and-optimization-in-the-german-tech-tree-en
The reasoning behind the AJ was outlined and explained both in it's original blog and today's update update.
Our policy on ships has been made clear for a very long time by this point.
Japan's top tier aircraft situation is unique currently. This was the most suitable option.
Germany had other SPAAs possible and a suitable candidate to replace the 341.
Right now it's just early considerations. Naturally if it progresses more we will provide more details.
The issue is reported. Once the report has an outcome, we can provide an answer on that
It's not a major rule change or anything. The reasoning behind the F-16AJ was explained in the blogs. It's an exceptional circumstance that provides a balanced option currently. The Yak-141 also already has other Aircraft like that in game (trialed / tested / planned weponary or features).
