[2022] clouds - why so ugly?

Can you provide screenshot? Because AFAIK right now clouds in WT are on top level and comparable with top AAA games.

If you think that current clouds are worse than 2015 and they are "pixelated" it's either your hardware/software issue or typical "de gustibus non est disputandum" which ends the topic for me

What? Clouds are visible for everyone and are located in same place on the map for all players. What do you mean?

The overall weather condition might be the same for everyone but the cloud positions are NOT.

The "revelation" can be confirmed by playing in a squad, streaming your game and comparing with another friend.

Also if I had a dollar for every time the enemy tracked me perfectly(aiming) through a cloud...

I am not saying that each cloud is same (they are generated by procedures AFAIK).
But your idea that some players got clouds and some do not, or some got smoke and some not is imho very wrong and that's why I asked where you took it.

Thanks gods (for me and my taste of how clouds should looks) you are minority in this case and new clouds were warm welcomed by players.
