There has to be some limited vehicles set side for events and other seasonal occasions. In a game with over 2000+ playable machines, only a very small % of those end up as limited event vehicles.
Event vehicles also by there nature have to be interesting. Thats one of the key points of the event. To be something that actually appeals to people to be worthwhile obtaining.
Unfortunately, variants of are not always popular vehicles. As past events have sometimes shown, straight up variants often are not as interesting.
The purpose of event vehicles is to be unique and interesting to as many people as possible. Whilst also trying to cover as many nations over time as possible.
One of the key pieces of feedback we have is to have worthwhile event vehicles for minor nations. There are so many vehicles we can reasonably add to the game for minor nations anyway either down to information accessibility, viable examples or in some cases, those nations just not having a lot anyway.
Its also a double edged sword. If we don't give those nations an event vehicle, some will complain we leave them out. If its such an obscure and pretty unknown/undesirable vehicle, nobody really wants it to take part in the event and a different set of people will complain we don't give good enough event vehicles to those nations.
We cannot please everyone in this situation, so we aim to try and add the most interesting and appealing vehicles for the most amount of people as far as possible.
