In 1993, 28 years ago, the Type 74G first appeared. As the Cold War ended, the plan to replace the Type 74 with the newer Type 90 was changed in favor of upgrading them with infrared cameras instead. The Ta-152 C-3 made its first flight in 1944. The C-3 variant had longer wings to support new landing gear.
