Dear gaming friends, I am probably nuts but I am struggling with the graphics. The looks are so foggy even in rooms, perhaps from the lighting effects, making the edges unsharp and reducing 3d effect. I did not get that impression when playing The Division 1. I got this impression when playing TD2 the first time when it was new and now again after having played TD1 for 3 month. Is there any setting that can reduce that effect? I am playing xbox one x.

Hey GnarlyAtol1793,

Are you able to provide any images or a video showing the graphics issues you're experiencing?

You're totally right :)

And if anyone is struggling with FPS I found this guide gave me massive gains particularly where I have large buildings - https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/lizxq9/valheim_fps_fix_benchmark_picture_guide_gained_an/

And just for general info, the Irongate team are doing optimization passes along with the rest of the content they're still adding before final release, generally with the milestone updates (some was included in the Hearth & Home update for example). So, we have that to look forward to also :steamhappy:

Typically with game dev in general, full optimization is not done till the final release as every time you add new stuff it can mess up previous optimization. As optimization can be a tedious and time consuming task depending on how a game is built, a lot of game studios leave the real optimization till the last phase.

We do update the graphics and effects in most major updates, for example we've recently improved explosion ad fire effects. Graphics updates do come over time, however keep in mind is that War Thunder is free to play and want to keep it as accessible to as many people as possible regardless of what their PC specifications are.
