The comparison here does not really follow.

The MiG-21 was a famous, iconic and well used (by USSR) Soviet Fighter that also happened to be exported to other nations. It was designed and intended for Soviet use.

The F-5A on the other hand was designed and intended for use by allied nations and the export market. Not by the USA itself. The USA did have some F-5A for training purposes in order to teach foreign nation pilots how to use their F-5A, but America did not strictly use them at all. The small amount they did, were modified into the F-5C variant and later they had

Because it was famous as an export fighter and as a movie star.

The one used in Vietnam was the F-5C which is not the F-5A we have coming to to the game this update. As we have already said, we are starting with the A model and other variants will come for the US tree later.

Please do not make up such a claim not backed up by any facts. The F-5E is not "minimal effort" to model. It requires extensive work and as we have already said, we have plans for later variants after the A in the future.

If you read my post, the key word was usually and in the context of the F-5. I never claimed we add the first variant of every aircraft, but that we strart with the early models and progress generally chronoligically.

The examples you gave are good showers of that. We dont currently have any plans to add the F-4B, so the logical step after the F-4C was the E.

The F-8 and A-7 are different aircraft entirely, there relation is not relevant here really.

The F-5A was not wanted by America. It was not used in any significant capacity and was intended for export. From the outset, the USAF had no interest in the F-5A.

It was only with modified variants such as the F-5C and E that the US used them in combat, larger numbers and with direct intention.

Prototypes are not really relevant in this comparison. As we have not said the USA wont be getting an F-5. Simply its not getting the F-5A variant this patch.

Again, things found in the files are entirely meaningless. Its no indication of how complete it i
