They have their shortcomings- DM63 at 9.3 isn't one of them.

Edit: Strv 104 vs T-55 -- The DM23 is -substantially- better on high angle than the T-55AMD's 3BM25. I don't think you're comparing it to the Finnish one with M1000A1.

Originally posted by Thuse: try sweden mate, the best tanks are the non-swedish ones haha, at 10.3 now and the light tanks are decent but so far there has been no decent swedish mbt/medium tank, all have been made out of paper and cant compete haha.

8, 8.7, 9.3, 10.3/10.7, and 12.0 all have pretty good lineups.

As far as "Made of paper", the swedish tree doesn't really do heavy tanks. There isn't much there that is really supposed to just sit in the open and soak up one hit after another.

The Strv 103's are fantastically trollish. Most of their light tanks are wonderful. Their best tank destroyer? The ItPs 473.

At 12.0, the Strv 122's and Ps274 are pretty good, too.

In the context of SIM EC, I thought the A10C was absolutely fantastic. I've seen them work well in RB air and ground. The AIM-9M's are pretty nice.

Back when there was only the A7D, it was pretty decent- but if you're into Ground RB, the A7E gets up to 6 walleyes, and might be worth looking into if you really like the US 10.3/10.7 ground bracket.

The Harrier- well.. -personally- I think there are better alternatives, both for air and ground battles. FWIW- until the F-18's, the Harrier was the last plane I have to research in the US air tree, because I didn't really feel that it had more to offer than the others.

I haven't updated my excel doc in a minute, but at a quick glance of how many vehicles are at specific BR's -

After BR 1.3, the first time France has more than 3 vehicles on any given BR (without premiums) is 7.7, 8.3, 8.7, 9.3, and 12.0. (And, they only have a single tank between 9.7 and 12.0.).

As others have said, your primary lineups are going to be 7.7, the 8.3-9.3 bracket (maybe up to 9.7, if you really like the Vextra + AMX-40), and 12.0.

Personally, I like the 8.7 and 9.7 lineups.

I actually did enjoy the 30B2 and Brenus. Sure- no stabilizer is a bit of an issue for on-the-move engagements, but at least unlike the 30B, you get darts and LRF.

My favorite part of the tree was probably the 9.3/9.7's, the AMX-32/120 and AMX-40.

Dont get into a turning or verticle fight with it. Engage it in sweeping motions staying fast. let it burn its energy trying to turn away from you, shoot at it, pull away and run.

You can go into the controls and set a weapon selection button for each caliber, all guns, primary, secondary, "additional" (pod mounted etc) etc. If that helps. Allowing you to use the reticle individually.

You should be able to open the controls menu again, and on the aircraft tab, make sure that "Mouse Aim" is selected instead of any of the other simplified/realistic control options.

If the button mapping itself is messed up or you have overlapping controls, go to the "full-real controls" section, remove the keybind (Click on the key in the menu, then look to the lower right for the key with an X icon on it). After, go back to the "mouse aim" controls.

Strictly comparing one tank to the other - I like the Turm III more than the 2IP. the autoloader + 30mm as backup can be pretty wicked when a lot of your opponents are likely to be some flavor of very lightly armored vehicle.

If you want to zoom out a bit and look at the big picture, the 2IP can be worked into (IMHO) a much more competitive 9.3 lineup. (KPz, Begleit, T-72M, AlphaJet, if you have premiums then the Bo-105 helicopter + TAM 2 IP).

If you're only getting one and it sounds like you still have a lot of lower-tier vehicles to work on, the Turm III is great fun and can research through rank 6.

My personal opinion - It depends on a great number of factors. Generally, I frown upon it (Not that my opinion matters)- although in certain circumstances it's more understandable than others.

(1) low/bottom BR for the match, just trying to play the game to spade a vehicle and get revenge bombed? Angry noises. Especially if there was a top-BR heavy tank in their capture circle less than 500 meters away.

(2) Top BR tank in a really campy/hard-to-counter spot? To get revenge bombed is a setback, but it's at least kind of understandable, as I was in a dangerous tank for their team, and not something their team would have easily fought against.
