136s	transition stream and the dev stream as
138s	well the two-hour marathon of
140s	adaptstream that happened last friday it
143s	was a sweaty spicy one and hopefully you
147s	tuned in if for a little bit if not for
149s	all of it um of course you know the vod
151s	exists on youtube and twitch if you want
153s	to you know two times speed that baby
155s	and watch the two-hour devstream that

174s	basically devstream 163 announced veil
177s	breaker and that that is our next major
179s	update and that it is coming in
181s	september and today is september 1st so
183s	that means sometime this month y'all are

191s	bailbreaker quest with bringing back

196s	we talked about archon hunts the arkhan
198s	shard system our 50th warframe steinax

207s	baby and i'm doing a lot i gave her the
209s	keys do what i want um we are to show a
211s	little bit of the dev build because one
213s	of the things that we i know

216s	to mention something in a two-hour dev
218s	stream yes we forgot to mention some of
221s	the spear gun changes that are coming in

227s	in that veil breaker update is so much
229s	quality of life stuff it is shocking how
231s	much we've done i will not

236s	because it is a lot and i definitely

516s	first things that i wanted to talk about
518s	before we talk about the spear gun
520s	changes is something that we saw post
523s	devstream 163 was the question of is
525s	steinax getting a signature weapon
528s	because we showed steinach's full kit
530s	during the devstream so we showed his
532s	one his two his three his four and we
535s	didn't show a signature weapon and there
536s	was a little bit of confusion just
538s	because if you watch you'll know that
539s	his first ability summons the axios
542s	javelin which is in itself
544s	a weapon and then the second one thero
546s	strike summons theros his shield which
548s	in itself is a weapon very similar to
550s	you can think of cora's whip claw how
552s	suddenly you cast an ability you've got
553s	a sick ass whip this is very similar
555s	where you just summon a weapon and it
558s	does its thing for that ability but it
560s	is not a equippable weapon in your
562s	arsenal clearly so i'm very happy to
564s	report and say steinax will be coming
566s	with his own signature weapon the
569s	aventis
570s	i feel like this is a great um

634s	either in an asset or when we were just
635s	talking casually that we called it a
638s	speargun rework and i want to set very
640s	clear expectations that it is not
642s	in a rework kind of realm just because
646s	if you watch the downstream and you saw
648s	the quality of life stuff and things
650s	we're doing
651s	the scope of calling something a rework
653s	doesn't really apply to what we're doing
655s	with spear guns but there are some
656s	really good quality of life changes
658s	hence why i'm calling it speargun
660s	changes and i'm not i wanted to set
662s	those expectations they are obviously
664s	really good quality of life stuff but i
665s	just want to
666s	set that bar uh and show you in real
669s	time what it is also yes this is also

739s	do a different spear gun and a little
741s	quality of life addition in veil breaker
743s	is you can now type speargun into uh the
746s	arsenal here and you will see all the
748s	ones that you have i'm just going to
750s	throw on the scorch just go oh that's
752s	the wrong appearance don't look at that
753s	oh okay here we go
755s	sorry i've been told not to use my
756s	colors get them defaults on girl get
759s	those defaults all right here we are in
760s	the simulacrum i have my speargun let's
762s	talk really quickly about what you
764s	experience um in the live build right
767s	now so currently how spearguns work is
769s	they have two mechanics the first one
770s	being their primary fire you know the
772s	more gun side of the weapon pew
775s	pew pew that kind of thing um and then
778s	you have your alternate fire so the more
780s	spear side of the spear gun weapon where
783s	essentially you're gonna throw that
784s	spear gun it's gonna cause some damage
786s	uh depending on the spear gun you're
788s	using maybe a little bit of an aoe
790s	mechanic as well and you can either
792s	throw a really quick javelin which has
794s	you know less damage or you can throw a
796s	charge i call it javelin sorry beer
800s	a charged spear spear gun um that
802s	obviously has more damage but it does
804s	take a bit of a charge to do and
805s	actually physically is different it's a
807s	tap versus a hold um and then of course
810s	the caveat of all to throwing a spear
812s	gun is you must then retrieve it
814s	yourself
816s	now when our designers took a look at
818s	that mechanic specifically they said to
820s	themselves well that makes logistical
822s	sense
824s	you know warframe is a very fast-paced
826s	game by the time you've thrown that
828s	spear gun you're doing something else
829s	you might even not even be in the same
831s	room anymore so what we've done is we've
833s	completely removed the fact that you
834s	need to go and pick up your spear gun so
837s	i'm just going to do my alternate fire i
839s	have thrown the spear gun and i suddenly
841s	get a spear gun in my hand and that
843s	other spear gun is doing work over there
845s	it's doing what it needs to do maybe
847s	i've pinned a grineer to that wall who
849s	knows but it's doing its aoe and it's
851s	doing a service it will obviously go for
853s	the duration of it and then it's going
855s	to fade away or if i want to just keep
857s	going i can throw one over here
859s	also note work in progress animations
861s	don't judge those please
863s	i can throw one over here that one is
865s	going to disappear but i can just keep
867s	going i can go as long as i want another
869s	thing to know is i am actually just
872s	clicking alternate fire as i'm doing
874s	that another change is we're getting rid
876s	of the
877s	quick to tap and hold to charge now
879s	every single time you alternate fire
880s	it's gonna be charged and it's gonna be
882s	just like that so you just got to tap
884s	your ultimate fire it's going to be
886s	charged so it's going to have you know
887s	the most maximum stats it can
890s	and it's going to fire that spear gun
892s	and then in the arsenal to represent
894s	that
895s	it has changed from charge throw to just
898s	be throw and that's where all the stats
900s	are going to be so you can mod however
902s	you want to and just be able to reflect
904s	it in there
906s	and that's it
907s	that is the spear gun changes like i

910s	not rework uh essential you know in
914s	comparison to what we're doing with you
916s	know aoe and stuff like that so i want
918s	to set expectations but some really good
920s	quality of life stuff for spear guns um
922s	are coming with bailbreaker like you
924s	just saw to sum it up you don't you have
926s	you don't have to pick up your spear gun
928s	anymore it's just going to come right
929s	back in your hand and then um you it's
932s	always a charge throw just tap it charge

1329s	transference a lot of people noticed
1331s	that there was now a
1333s	cooldown that would occur between
1335s	warframe to operator operated warframe
1338s	and it was kind of
1339s	causing a little bit of
1341s	feeling things a little bit slow right
1343s	so it took us a while to
1346s	really dig into it and get to it because
1347s	it is
1349s	on the client side etc but we've removed
1352s	the cooldown basically or we reduced it
1355s	we reduced it to a point where it feels
1357s	like there is no cooldown so let's
1359s	preface with you asked for it you got it
1362s	and this is the punishment you get
1364s	with this visual oh yes also by the way
1367s	just also for context when i was filming
1369s	this the point
1371s	uh was to show as i'm spamming
1374s	my transference button the difference
1376s	between spamming on the live build
1378s	currently and spamming
1379s	a transference on the dev build playlist

7015s	as data reaper tragically did pass away
7018s	and for those who don't know data reaper
7021s	actually created the character clem from
7024s	a comic that they did one late night and
7026s	that actually turned into clem in real
7029s	life in the game and also the cronin is
7033s	their weapon design we did a weapon
7034s	contest back in the day and they
7036s	submitted the cronin design and it won
7038s	and it's in game so
7040s	although
7041s	you know data reaper is heartbreakingly
7044s	not with us he will live forever and you
7047s	know the people and the lives that he
7049s	touched but also in warframe in the
7051s	spirit of clem so i just want to say
7054s	that really quickly
7055s	we are going to be doing
7057s	something in game in the near future
7059s	just to honor data reaper he was a very
7061s	special person very positive
7064s	about warframe and about us and we are
7066s	going to miss him but clem will live on
7069s	forever
7070s	so thank you to everyone who loves clem
