11/27 Update

It’s an exciting time here as we are both publisher and developer! While this major transition continues to be smooth, it is a massive undertaking that takes time and we will continue to tackle it with our awesome crew.

We had originally messaged that we’d be doing a stream to answer some burning questions and talk about the situation, but there has been a slight delay as we believe in sharing actual concrete info + news instead of “we don’t know, and we’ll let you know soon”. Once we feel that we have adequate info to answer your questions and speak more openly on the matter we’ll set a date for this stream and communicate it out. Speaking of burning questions… we know many are wondering about patching the game on PlayStation. We still have no update to share at this point and are awaiting to hear from the applicable parties.

We’ve been talking about our December update for a while and 'tis the season to pull back the curtain some.

This patch is massive… over 2,000 bug fixes and changes!

It’s a big milestone for us and so we’re dubbing it v0.2! We still have a long way to go to get to v1 , but this patch is one huge step forward. We're beyond excited to get this into your hands.

Because it’s so big, and because everyone is so excited - every day on social and Discord , we’ll be posting previews starting tomorrow so people can see what our team has been banging away on for these last few months!

For those that may have missed it, this jump to v0.2 is not Season 2. We are pausing our Seasons as we go ahead and reassess our release calendar. This doesn’t mean that content is drying up, in fact the opposite. We won’t be sticking to a seasonal “wrapper” for content and instead can release things faster when we believe things are ready for players vs waiting to put everything under the season banner. In case you missed it; check out this interview I did that explains it more in detail: https://massivelyop.com/2023/11/16/interview-wayfinder-pauses-seasons-as-it-hunts-for-a-publisher-and-rebuilds-roadmap/

From everyone at Airship once again thank you all for your continued support. The flood of heartfelt messages and encouraging comments we’ve seen from players have been amazing and give us powerful motivation. We’ve also seen a small number of players with hesitation and worry about the future of the game and that’s normal and we get it. At Airship we believe that our actions speak louder than our words and we hope that this v0.2 update coming in December shows that Wayfinder is just getting started.

Hopefully they can get the Playstation certification issue resolved quickly because it never feels good to alienate half of your players. And yes, I'm aware that this is not totally under their control but it just feels bad to see the community being forcibly divided.

Yup, we're right there with you. As a player you don't care WHO is responsible and you just want to get back to playing cross-play with friends and having the latest patch. We're working on it nonstop and as soon as we known more, we'll share it.

Is there anyway for us on PSN to transfer our saves to PC?

If you previously linked your PSN + Steam accounts you can continue to play and access your character across devices. If you did not do so before we disabled the linking a few weeks back then unfortunately right now there is not a way. We'll be looking to reenable this in the future once we have fully transitioned service.
