Im someone who started wayfinder after echoes launched. So this is from the perspective of a new player who put in 60 hours. I understand its early access, but if someone doesnt say something then it will most likely not get fixed.

*Highlands and expeditions - The highlands and its respective expeditions do not scale to the post story game. This locks out alot of the viability of early game content and effectively creates dead content.

Level 30 content is limited to: the bone orchard, the hollow heart, the void, unraveling aurelian, and mythic hunts.

Content that doesnt scale to level 30: codex halls, undercroft, respository of knowledge, the pit, the bloodworks, bal duum, and the entirety of highlands.

More than half of the game serves as invalid content. At level 30 youre effectively stuck in 2 identical dungeons, an empty dungeon, and a 3 path dungeon that gets tedious. This makes farming some echoes a pain such as codex initiate and goblin seer. All of the unique bosses in highlands are irrelevant because theyre stuck at low level.

There needs to be a way to upscale all content to level 30. You dont need mythic expeditions, just have the dynamic scaling shoot up to power level 2.7k.

*chest loot - While there is an upcoming adjustment in terms of items exclusive to lower power levels, it doesnt rectify that the majority of loot drops is housing items. After a while the rewards from chests are exhausted and provide no power progression. If chests could atleast drop spectra that would be a massive step up.

*speaking of spectra - Spectra drop rates is entirely inconsistent. There can be several runs where you dont get a single spectra of the imbuement you pick. This makes late game spectra farming an absolute chore. Being restricted to bosses just to get any decent amount of spectra in a DUNGEON CRAWLER is asinine.

*jobs, patrols and bounties - These are all useless. Completely pointless to do. Bounties aren't even fun, jobs are literally chores for xp caches, and patrols are a waste of time.

I dont expect these things to get fixed in a single patch but it would be nice for AS to acknowledge these glaring issues with the games longetivity. I honestly cant recommend to anyone to spend time with the game past the story.

I want to awaken all the weapons and wayfinders. I want to experiment with builds, but theres nothing valid to test these things with and the farm is an absolute chore. The game has serious red flags with its replayability and replayability is what ARPGs are about.

You can make this happen easily AS. You have enough content, you just need to improve the systems the content is built around.

Hey there, thanks for typing this up. Wanted to point out a few things!

We are currently working on the next zone and Wayfinder which will be designed for 31+. The content that is in the game now is not the final content players will see in 1.0. As such, scaling everything to what is essentially not the "end" of the game doesn't make a ton of sense at this point. We'll be doing that post 1.0 with mythic expeditions and open world areas scaling to 30+. We shared more info during our AMA which you can find here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PlayWayfinder/comments/1di0gv6/ama_with_the_wayfinder_team_wednesday_619_2pm_ct/

I would like to see wayfinders be that "3rd person diablo" that the ARPG scene is missing. The options are either first person looter or isometric hack n slash. There is some prime real estate for a 3rd person ARPG and I want to see the best for wayfinder as a replayable action game.

This doesn't address the issue of the inconsistent spectra drop rate and the invalid implementation of jobs, bounties, and patrols. Do you plan to improve jobs? will bounties introduce random imbuements instead of cycling a static table? Will chests drop something more than cosmetics and housing items? chests currently drop a surplus of gloomstone, useless trinkets, and excess potions.

I understand you had unfinished content in the tank and would like to not see wasted production, but the systems under the hood don't seem entirely thought out.

It is. We've been 100% transparent about that in the AMA and our announce and our messaging. A lot rides on how 1.0 does. If it doesn't make financial sense to continue supporting the game, we won't be able to do so.
