Lag Spikes

I just bought the game yesterday. This game has been on my radar for some time and with yesterday's announcement and it being on sale on Steam, I decided to finally give the game a go. Though I am only at the very first zone I really like the feel of combat, character movement and graphics.

Unfortunately, not everything has been great. While playing I have experienced rather severe lag spikes that can last 30 seconds or longer. I have tried lowering the graphic settings but have not noticed a difference so far. I would be shocked if it was my PC since I have a 3080 with an I9-10850 and 32 gigs of RAM. I tried looking for solutions but nothing concrete came up that was recent. Any help would be much appreciated. I would really like to sink some time in this but the lag makes it difficult to play
