I'm so tired of this nonsense. Just because one person—not even connected to the writing or creative direction—said something on Twitter, we’re supposed to take it seriously? It sounds like they were joking or messing around, but now both sides are acting like idiots.
From people I trust, like MrMattyPlays and SkillUp, the game seems fine, and this whole thing feels blown out of proportion. Can we just wait until the game is out before jumping to conclusions? If it’s "woke," fine, but this reactionary shit is exhausting. One or two people saying dumb stuff doesn’t mean the whole project is ruined.
Look at Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate 3, or Space Marine 2—games people overreacted to early on but ended up being great. What someone says on Twitter doesn’t reflect an entire game, especially when a whole team is involved. Unless there’s solid proof the whole crew shares that mindset, this doesn’t hold up. Just be patient, people.
