Borderlands 3's last major update added a section in the main menu where players could activate any in-game season. This is great, because it doesn't require anyone at Gearbox to go and flip switches when the Halloween event should start, and it also meant players could enjoy that content at any time without stressing out about farming the Ultraviolet event within 2 weeks, or whatever.

I don't believe Wayfinder had anything for Halloween other than shop stuff, but the Xmas event had a lot of Skylight decorations, weather FX, and a seasonal dungeon and rewards that made it feel really special. I hope that stuff stays in the game, and being able to enable it myself without worrying about AS toggling it on would be terrific.

And of course if they added any seasons down the line that would be a great addition to the game and a great thing to toggle whenever. I know the topic of DLC is really sensitive and I hope this doesn't derail the post but I would buy high-quality DLC packs mapped to seasons like Halloween, a summer beach one, etc. These are staple events in MMOs, but when single/co-op RPGs lean into it (like Borderlands 2 and 3 did!) it's REALLY fun. Anyway that's my 2c, thanks AS.

We discussed this at length, but sadly we had to table the ideas we had because we just didn't have time. Something we hope to solve before leaving Early Access!

Solid, is there a chance, even if minuscule, that Wayfinder: Echoes could the first game or a base to build on in the future? The lore, world characters, etc are so original and amazing. I would absolutely hate to see this end up as a one off.

We've been pretty honest with people saying that we're doing this to deliver a 1.0 product that players can have forever.

If the game finds an audience, people are happy with it, and it's financially viable we'd LOVE to support it for years. We aren't doing this due to lack of caring about the world and characters and lore, but out of necessity due to the current state of the industry & business.
