Hey guys, I have played some games since yesterday, and I always was main support or adc. One of my favorite is Janna, and she's still pretty strong on lol wr.

However, her shield by default, if you just tap it, goes to herself. Somehing similar goes for Nami's heal.

So I suggest that an option is added for target priority on heals and shields, so that you could choose priority for nearby low-HP allies, for instance, or on advanced you could have a main target for it (the adc in this case)..

What do you guys think?

Edit: all these options would be for tapping of course, as you can chose by drag..

Then, targeting yourself gets harder. It is easier to just swipe the direction of ally than to choose yourself, by taking time to adjust where your skill lands. I like it this way.

Cast on yourself - fast

Cast on ally - fast, it is just a swipe, even if your direction is 90 degrees off, it will still pick your teammate.

This was actually part of our reasoning for doing it this way. The other reason for making tap always select your self is to give tap a consistent outcome that you can learn to play around. League supports tend to have more complex targeting than other mobile MOBAs (Nami being an example) where they can target enemies or allies (or turrets) with the same ability which creates even more pressure for there to be predictable outcomes to your inputs across different champions.

The cost of doing it this way though is that simpler situations where there’s just one ally to heal/shield on your screen requires the player to swipe the ability. We felt in these scenarios asking players to learn to swipe would be okay because it’s relatively easy to select a single valid unit since you just need to swipe in their relative direction. Ofc this can balloon if there’s more allies all stacked on top of each other but we felt that tends to be the exception and not the norm.

I think we are open to exploring a setting if enough players want it, but adopting models similar to other mobile MOBAs would make it harder to select yourself in the heat of the moment. Many supportive abilities in other mobile MOBAs tend to be AOE or always affect yourself to avoid that problem.
