CVs are rather capable at finding and attacking a target. A metric of "At least more than 0 damage" isn't a high bar as planes can be rather accurate.
It's not about doing massive damage. It's about doing -any- damage at all with planes.
As a person that is known internationally for teaching CVs, please understand that I know CV is harder than people give it credit for. There is a learning curve and the controls can certainly be overwhelming. However, in a live game, a CV is expected to do at least 1 damage with planes.
There are resources that I and others have made that can provide assistance on how to make that happen.
