The "AI Tools" are literally just that. They are tools that have been created to allow us to interact with the AI in the game.
Prior to the creation of the tools, we had tech-debt in that area. AI was done on an as-needed basis and these tools allow for a more standardized way to interact with what we have in the game. Ideally this should make tweaks and alterations much easier to do going forward.
Anything worth doing takes time, so I don't have a direct answer to give.
In terms of Operations, we are still aiming for 2022.
In terms of Co-Op, the situation is being actively looked into.
Event Tokens tend to stay around and be redeemable for an Update after the event has concluded. The ships will still be available to receive from Tokens you have already earned or Tokens that you purchase with Doubloons or Community Tokens.
