It's really worth remembering that AA Spec/Buffs work with each other Multiplicatively. Because of that, they amount to a lot more than is expected.

Non-Spec'd, Non-DFAA Cruiser:

Player's Base AA: 100% Output

Activates Priority Sector (x 1.5): 100% -> 150% Output

Non-Spec'd Cruiser with DFAA

Player's Base AA: 100% Output

Activates Priority Sector (x 1.5): 100% -> 150% Output

Activates DFAA (x 1.5): 150% -> 225% Output

Spec'd Cruiser with DFAA (6 commander points)

Player's Base AA: 120% Output

Activates Priority Sector (x 1.75): 120% -> 210% Output

Activates DFAA (x 1.5): 210% -> 315% Output

-

TLDR: A spec'd Cruiser that uses Priority Sector and DFAA is putting out over 3 times as much AA as a ship that isn't spec'd and doesn't use Priority Sector.
