We have an update to share on the event in the Armory!

"Commanders!

The launch of the Ruckus in the Armory event was not as smooth as we wanted it to be: an article went live a bit later and didn’t include information on the limited number of purchasable tokens. We understand that it could influence your decisions, so until the release of 0.11.6 update you can contact our Customer Support to use account rollback (it includes all the progress and other purchases as well) and, if you want to – a refund of the purchased doubloons after that.

Besides that, it was perceived negatively that available tokens are not sufficient to purchase the whole random bundles. That’s why we made the bundles with 25 and 65 Depot tokens available for unlimited purchase in the Premium shop. You can use these offers now and they will be available for the whole duration of the event.

We thank you for your attention to the game and surely will consider your feedback while planning future events.

Good luck in battles!"

Highlights are:

You can request an Account Rollback up until 0.11.6.

and, if you'd like, a refund on purchased Doubloons.

We have removed the limit on the 25 and 65 Token offers in the Premium Shop.

You can purchase Tokens directly if you'd rather not use a Random Bundle to acquire them via Doubloons.

The event has been live for a week, but taking action is still better than not. As well as there being players whom don't play immediately and may not have encountered this until recently.

Our current in-game event is a combination of Brawls and Convoy. Convoy provides Community Tokens and Brawls have a breadth of resources available for Wins. Later in the update, we'll have more content available as well.

The Ruckus in the Depot is an event which occurs in-game resources in exchange for Doubloons or Direct Purchase. This is a supplemental thing to interact with as no purchases are required of anything at all to play our game.

This is a good catch. I raised this internally and they'll watch to see if it's an issue. Creation of larger Token amounts would take time to implement.

It would take a lot of Tokens to completely purchase everything in the event, but players don't have to purchase anything at all as the event is optional. Removing the limit to the Tokens in the Premium Shop is a way to provide a path for those that would like to use it.

That is correct, uncertainty before uncertainty is a lot of uncertainty. Providing direct purchase for the Tokens is a way to remove that. Random Bundles always display what the next offer is so a player can know what they are purchasing Tokens for.

Tokens are not free for this event, but we have Brawls and Convoy modes which offer their own rewards for participation.

It's been a week, but offering a rollback option is still a helpful choice. There are players which don't play every day and others who may have missed the first week of the Update.

The cost of the Tokens is notable, but ideally a player is making the choice based on the rewards they will be receiving for the Tokens they purchase. Event rewards like this tend to be quite powerful in terms of value exchange.

Premium Containers were previously altered to offer Credits as compensation. Our Compensation rules will reward Doubloons for ships which have never been offered for freely available currency. Coal ships can be earned through in-game acquisition of Coal, so they fall under that distinction.

"Consider your feedback" means taking into account the response to this and other events. The biggest takeaways from this event are

Random Bundle acquisition of Tokens to Random Bundle acquire goods. The double layer of Random Bundle is a lot of Bundle.

This is why the Direct Purchase option of Tokens was made unlimited.

Inability to fully purchase a Random Bundle means uncertainty about being able to acquire something within the Bundle.

As long as enough Tokens exist to complete a Random Bundle, then any specific good can be looked at as having a "maximum possible cost" to be guaranteed to attain.

Per Container Chances article: https://worldofwarships.com/en/content/contents-and-drop-rates-of-containers/

Compensation would have been 28,500,000.

I tend to be pretty day-to-day in my work since I'm on the Forums or writing up descriptions of frustrations/issues/sentiments. Monetization plans are listed internally in files and timetables, but that's nothing I personally look at/review.

When logging in after the update, I reviewed the event and had an expectation that Random Bundle gating a Random Bundle would have a negative reaction and that did bear out. I also worried about there being an aspect of confusion to the event as a player kinda has to take the time to decypher how it works. That was partially an issue as the article was release a little later on.

The good news is that the event is entirely optional and can be skipped by players that aren't interested in it. All gameplay aspects of the Update directly provide rewards for play so the Ruckus in the Depot is purely a resource offering for money/doubloons.

My assumption is that Customer Support would roll back to before you made a purchase. They would be able to clarify further in a Customer Support Ticket if you'd like to inquire about your options.

No sorry, that's not something we offer. You can reach out to Customer Support about a Rollback option, but that's the only way to revert the purchases you made.

Can you tell me how many Doubloons/Tokens you used that are at issue?

How large of a situation did you experience that you would like to reverse?
