This change has been shown to save CV players credits when compared to the old way.

No, @El2aZeRpre-drops when it is sensible to do so. Another player tried to make an argument regarding AA and "trap him with his own words".

It was a poor argument that was shut down on its face.

If you are unable to make multiple attacks, you should pre-drop to avoid losing more resources than you need to. Depending on how you pre-drop, you can use it to help avoid far-reaching flak patterns as well to further enable your planes getting through.

I believe the crux of the previous discussion was that it limits your options when you pre-drop before knowing what encounters lie ahead of you. IE: you might trip across a DD with its AA left on that having those planes you sent back could be the difference between solid damage and an outright kill.

I also do not endorse pre-dropping without certainty. It does lead me to greater then desired losses out of habit, but I make my decisions as the moment suggests as opposed to a rigid policy-style play pattern.

I'll be honest, I don't play anywhere near what I used to. I tend to work around... I dunno, 50-80 hours a week? There are several things I'm working on that I consider to be important enough to push hard over.

I might suggest you just search my channel for Immelmann related stuff:
