The world/map itself will be fine. Creatures would be a bit messed up
They will not be deleted, but civilizations will have to adapt to the new mechanics and changes made,just like with the previous update.

Nah, it's just a simulation
The dragon is invincible during certain attacks where he flies around everywhere. It's probably just easier to program him as being invincible for a second, than it is to actually have his hotbox fly all over the place.
