Will they work in the new world for coffee/cocoa/caoutchouc/tobacco plantations?
Even better- they will work in all sessions that have farms ;)

Yes thank you for that ;p much admiration for your work anyway
Thank you, we appreciate it :)
STOPIT! You cant just come in here and tease us!
Next thing you will tell me that I can't sit here looking at Bright Harvest screens, or start writing the Anno Union blog post about it!
Can't wait to see what people's farming islands will look like with some tractors and silos on them!
That's why inviting Anno community to vote on future contents can be somehow frustrating. We tend to focus more on what we won't get and on the potential content that won't make it into the game . We've already seen some good scrapped ideas on the Anno Union blog... even if we know that's the way it is, we can't get everything !
Welcome to game development! We always said that we want to use the Anno Union to give the community a look behind the scenes at how we work, and the truth is that game development tends to be a long series of hard decisions and compromises. So now you too can feel the sting :p
Keep in mind that while such cosmetic DLCs are very common in the industry these days, they are fairly new for Anno (we had something similar for Anno 2070, yes). The Holiday Pack and the pack from this vote are also tests for us to see what kind of content formats our community likes to keep the game exciting and fresh between the bigger DLCs which take a lot of development time. At the same time, we don't want to release new content just for the sake of it if we don't feel that players will enjoy it, and that it will enhance their experience.
So we decided that we pick three topics that we think are interesting (and that many people in the community asked for), and give the players the choice which of these packs they want to see. Does it mean that we will never use the other options? No. It means that for now we will do our best to create some awesome ornaments based on the winning topic, and if we see that players love this way of receiving additional content, we may r...
Read moredidn't they say that they didn't plan a second season pass?
but yeah, I would be so hopeful that there would be much more content after land of lions.
I can't recall us ever saying we would not do a Season 2. We always said that we had the three announced DLCs from our Season Pass planned, and that for everything else we would have to see. We saw that the game and DLC were very popular with our community, so we decided for the first time ever with Anno to do a second year of new content.
That is for now all that is planned. It is worth keeping in mind that only a certain percentage of the people who buy a game will buy DLC for it. The later that DLC is releseased, the lower that percentage will traditionally go, which is why it makes to change plans over time based on what happens. For now, we are fully focused on Season 2, and while the team loves supporting Anno 1800, we also think that the community would one day in the future like to play an all-new game from the team as well!
Industrial ornaments like in 2070 is basically the only thing I miss! Brick walls would be so cool!
Agreed, that would be cool :)
Seem to be getting a lot of crashes now...
Starting the game and I click off it to do something else... crash.
Loading a savegame and click off it to do something... crash.
Game freezes for a second and I click to do something... crash.
Try to do too much at once.... crash.
Hey, did you use any mods in the past? Also, have you tried having your installation verified via Uplay?
You have 6 weeks sir! I shall give you not a fortnite more!!!
Also, thanks for an awesome game w/ good continual support.
You drive a hard bargain! Let's see what we can do :)
Just curious, any idea when that next farming DLC is going to drop?
Well, we said it is coming this Summer, so we still have quite some time to release it :)
Is anyone having problems with the game now?
What problems are you experiencing? Affter an update, it often helps to have Uplay verify your installation.
Was wondering why anno just downloaded an update.
And now you know! :)
Fixed several potential game crashes.
Fixed several issues that could cause Desync errors in multiplayer.
Fixed an issue that could result in the game not starting (or crashing immediately after starting) if started in offline mode, or without an internet connection present.
Fixed some UI issues that could appear in DirectX 12 mode.
Fixed an issue with carts deleting their loaded goods if they were unable to unload them at their destination building.
Solved an issue where hovering the mouse over tiles such as ornaments or farm fields could cause its position to appear offset, making it harder to use.

Read moreWell we already know about the tractors that need some kind of fuel to maintain.
/u/com_raven 's response to my question here ( https://www.reddit.com/r/anno/comments/gd8qbb/fields_of_gold_best_looking_production_island_i/fpfyf1w/ )has me hoping the majority of the DLC is ornaments
Some ornaments I would like:
-barns
-static farm equipment like plows and whatnot
-grain silos/physical stacks of other resources like bricks, steel beams, windows, ores, cocoa/coffee beans, etc., think of these being similar to how quays will auto populate with bits and bobs when you place big swaths of them down
-industrial barrier walls, probably made of rough stone or brick
-"drying areas" for crops that have been harvested and laid out to dry
-Loading docks, think similar to the wooden decks...
The ornaments definitely aren't the focus, but a nice addition to round out the content of Bright Harvest.
Grain Silos sound like an interesting idea though!
Read moreInteresting find, but I'd say that is highly unlikely. I just don't see how Anno could be playable without mouse/keyboard.
Probably the result of some experimentation or internal codesharing.
EDIT: Yeah that's a confirmed NO:
Nein, es gibt keinerlei Pläne Anno 1800 auf Konsolen zu veröffentlichen. Wie Jan127O über meinem Beitrag schon richtig vermutet hat experimentieren wir gerne mit verschiedenen Dingen um zu sehen was in Zukunft vielleicht Sinn ergeben könnte. Wobei Controller sich auch am PC zunehmender Beliebtheit erfreuen für eine entspannte Runde auf der Couch, oder auch beim Thema Barrierefreiheit hilfreich sein können.
No, we have no plans for a console release. We just like to experiment with different things to see what might make sense in the future. Controllers are also becoming more and more popular on the PC for a relaxed round on the couch, or can also be helpful with accessibility.
...
Couldn't have said it better myself :)
That's very impressive, awesome job!
Any hints on what we'll be decorating with the ornaments in this DLC? We talking small barns and tool sheds? Haven't heard much more about the agricultural and industrial ornaments teased in the Season 2 DLC video
Yes, the idea is to have some "ornaments" that aren't really decorative in the traditional sense, but help to make the work feel more living and realistic. Like maybe a nice wall around your factory or so :)
