Looks like you are back in the game. If you continue to see that error message, please follow those steps:
Log out of the Google Play account from within the game.
Fully restart the game.
Play through the tutorial (if you get on a new account after you launched the game) as a guest (don't log into Google Play account).
Log into the EA account that your main account is linked to once you can using the EA Connect feature.

We are aware and have it already raised as a bug.
I run it in windowed mode and have manually dragged the window to a size of 1556 x 880. Maybe that's what's causing it

You are missing a lot of assets by the looks of it. I recommend a fresh reinstall (make sure you have a strong internet connection) and let it sit open for a while.
