[2021] How to start a game fully loaded but without the gamestage increase

Make your way to your 7d2d config directory, the path will look something like this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\Config

Scroll down to the quests.xml // open with notepad (or whatever)

scroll down to the 7th starter quest in which you are awarded four skill points for creating a campfire (press ctrl + F and search for this:)



replace 4 with 270 (cannot remember the exact amount needed, something like 259 I think)

Then whatever world you begin when you create the campfire you'll get that many skill points instead of four. :MushroomRotA:

It's 279 skill points currently, iirc.

That said, to the op, while Heathy's answer will solve you having to give yourself exp and does solve the gamestage increase due to level gains, it does NOT solve having to put int he points one by one. Which is unavoidable afaik. Maybe via modding.
