[2020] Known Books... Mind Blown

Yes, it's a subtle tell, probably too subtle I think, but it's been there for a while now.

Ah well, we learn all at our own pace, and I've no doubt all of us, learnt something much later than someone else did, I know for a fact that would apply to me as well.

And this topic specifically has come up quite a bit before, which is why I'm of the opinion the tell the game shows you us too subtle, seems to be quite a few people missing it.

Sadly I feel like it's just overlooked as a matter of course rather than being too subtle; It's there, It's pretty obvious...but people just don't seem to be picking up that all the little miniature icons mean something.

Like the explosive one, or the shape menu one, the 'modded item' one, the 'mod for an item' one.. There's a lot of little icons that people just dont seem to question at all, and th en dont realize that all items sharing that little icon have a similar effect of sorts.

Well, to me, the principle of affordance wouldn't apply to what people should notice, but what, rightly or not, they do notice. It's anecdotal, but I feel like I see a lot of threads where people hadn't realised that book symbol was telling them something.

This is why I think the tell should be re-designed or made more prominent. Seems to be a lot of people who, liked you, missed it. I didn't happen to miss this one, but I've missed others for sure, but this one does come up a lot (it feels like).

You get more experience for reading them, so it's not like it's a loss.
