You are only misinformed on the name. :). Otherwise you are correct: It is being developed by Illogika.

Furthermore:

7 Days to Die won’t even be in early access concurrently with it anyway.

It is only superficially similar to the old horde mode of 7 Days to Die.

I really doubt that 7 Days could be modded to do the zombie master part of the game.

Personally, I d like to play a mod that brings back just plain horde mode like it used to be.
