Game is rated "M" for Mature.
It will contain mature content.

If you can't handle mature content, don't play the game.

Or, just mod them out. Easy peasy.

The only issue is that you're expecting a game rated for people 17+ to be rated for people 8+.
You're going to be disappointed.

The main takeaway is that most games designed with an M rating, simply do not have a filter/option to disable the things that make them rated M for Mature.

The the cases of the MMO's with filters, that filter is only applied to global chat where other people are typing. It's not applied to NPC dialogue.

If you choose to play a game that is rated M for mature you risk exposing both yourself, and those around you, to the game content that earned it that rating.

If that is not acceptable, it is up to you to apply the moderation. This is not the responsibility of the developer.

You knew what the game was rated when you purchased it. It was clear and open about what content was contained that gave it that rating. To request the developer to change it afterwards is more than a little bit silly.

And again, here is a link to the ESRB rating for the game.
