There are no trigger points per se. The sleeper zombies are grouped within volumes, and they spawn when you get within a set distance of that volume. The level designers do their best to place the zombies so they’re spawned by the time you have a line of sight to them, but there are some weirdly shaped rooms, and they can’t stop you from busting through some random wall to open up a new line of sight.

I'm going to have to disagree with you again on this... Unless maybe we can agree on a better term than "trigger point" to include specific distance and direction used to spawn a sleeper volume.

I can find no block or entity you could place to tell the game to spawn in some sleepers when the player is at this specific location. The only mechanism I could find was the sleeper volume itself. My conclusion was that the sleepers in the volume spawn in when the player gets within a hard coded distance of the sleeper volume, regardless of direction.
