This is a known issue in some scenarios where the trader can fall through the floor and/or the world. There is a mechanic that will respawn the trader back in its original spot if he/she moves too far away (e.g. falls through the world).
The only way we have been able drop the trader through the floor is by using debug mode > god mode.
If you would like a workaround/fix so you can at least continue your save game, you can delete the region file where the trader in question is located.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Before deleting any files, make a backup of your save game prior just in case something unexpected occurs. (e.g. file corruption)
Your save game region files are saved in a similar file location as the below file path.
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves\Navezgane\\Region
In order to determine which region file to delete, follow the steps below.
1) Travel to the Trader POI in question
2) Press F1 key to open console
3) type "dm" to enable debug mode
4) press F3 key to display additional information windows (see attached screenshot below)
5) press tab then place checkmark in checkbox labeled "CH"
6) observe region file associated to the location you are standing at.
7) Exit game entirely.
8 ) Delete that region file observed in step 6)
9) Log back into save game and confirm that trader is now back in his original spot.
Note that any building you have done in that region will be lost. The entire region will be reset to Vanilla RWG/Navezgane.
