A big note here is to consider how much Ram and vRam you have; If you have 16 gigs or less, and have your pagefile turned off, that could easily be a culprit of a memory crash. 7DTD uses a LOT of ram when loading up and serving the gameworld; Especially if any of the graphical content gets shunted to the main ram.
What are your PC specs? Bare minimum need your Ram total, and Video Card and it's vRam capacity; But more info would be helpful.
Also your video settings ingame.
As an example, If you have a card with 4gb vram, but play with Textures on Full, then the 4gb will be filled instantly AND 4gb more will spill over into normal Ram, as full textures takes 8gb; And thats before any other graphical settings and their own vRam requirements are considered. It's very easy to make that kind of mistake and have the game calling for 10+gb of normal ram. And if you have such a thing going on, and as mentioned above, have your pagefile disabled for some reason, you'll get a crash the moment your ram consumption hits 100%.
Most likely reason people have for disabling pagefile is due to having an SSD and worries about drive wear and tear. This was a pretty big issue with the first generation of SSD's but nowadays the amount of lifetime lost from an SSD for using a pagefile is less than 5% across it's entire lifespan- And that's under excessive pagefile use, not normal; For normal it's a fraction of a percent.
