[2022] [DoR] Desync loop on the quest 'Gift to the God''

Hi @cptashie I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing a desync loop in the quest 'Gift to the God'.

I have moved your post from the megathread as your issue is different.

Could you please confirm the following:

• Did you follow Sigrun and Halstein during the quest 'Gift to The God' as that was showing as the objective when you first encountered the issue. If not can explain what happened and how you encountered the issue.
• Did you quit the game during the quest?
• Did you encounter a crash during the quest?
• Did you leave the area during the quest and free roam?

@CptAshie Thanks for those further details! To check in on this, does this issue occur on the latest title update (1.6.0)? If so, are there any changes at all or it just more of the same issue as before?

I'm sorry to hear that the issue still occurs on the current update and that reloading an earlier save does not work. I'm afraid it would appear that your save file is corrupted after the game crashed.

You mentioned that after desyncing several times you are teleported away from the area but when you return to the area it says area not available. When you return are you able to see Sigrun and Halstein or is there no sign of them? When you return to the area and it says area not available do you desync again? If not can you try creating a new manual save, quit then reload the newly created manual save and see if that stops the desync loop. If it does can you try meditating to see if that does anything.

If the issue still persists then could you please provide another video. In the video could you show the following:

• Your quest log screen to show the quest 'Gift to The God' and to show if there is still an quest objective visible
• Your map to show your location and where the area is unavailable
• In-game showing which area is unavailable
