Hello all,
With the Lands Awakened update on November 24, Usage Fees for player-owned buildings will become more transparent and straightforward, and overall crafting will have a clearer and better-balanced progression based on its raw ingredients.
NOTE: The term "crafting" in this description refers to both crafting and refining, as the values, costs, Focus returns, etc. for both processes are calculated based on the same raw resources.
Usage Fee Changes
Hello all,
With the Lands Awakened update on November 24, Usage Fees for player-owned buildings will become more transparent and straightforward, and overall crafting will have a clearer and better-balanced progression based on its raw ingredients.
NOTE: The term "crafting" in this description refers to both crafting and refining, as the values, costs, Focus returns, etc. for both processes are calculated based on the same raw resources.
Usage Fee Changes
- Usage Fees are now derived directly from the Nutrition an Item consumes when it is crafted/studied at a building
- Usage Fees are now set as an amount of Silver per 100 Nutrition consumed
- Formerly % value
- All Usage Fees were adjusted to give the same amount of Silver as before the update, so fees will have the same effective rate when the update goes live
- Formerly % value
- As a reminder, the Nutrition an Items consumes when it is crafted is derived from its Item Value.
- Nutrition Cost = Item Value * 0.1125
- Nutrition Cost = Item Value * 0.1125
- A new sub menu in the cost confirmation breaks down the calculations that lead to the final price paid
- Fixed an issue where studying multiple stacks of the same item was more expensive than studying the same amount of items in one stack
- Fixed a bug where the usage fee of items that are created in batches by default (like Meat or non Fish Food) would only be equal to 1 item instead of the whole batch
- A Usage Fee of 1% in the old System equals 44.44 in the new system
- Changed the Item Values (referred to as "IV" below) of Raw Resources:
- T2: 2 → 4
- T4.2: 24 → 28
- T4.3: 48 → 60
- T2: 2 → 4
- This was done to clean up the IV Progression of Refined Resources, so that they now double with each Tier or Enchantment:
Enchantment 0 | Enchantment 1 | Enchantment 2 | Enchantment 3
T2 | 4 | |||
T3 | 8 | |||
T4 | 16 | 32 | 64 | 128 |
T5 | 32 | 64 | 128 | 256 |
T6 | 64 | 128 | 256 | 512 |
T7 | 128 | 256 | 512 | 1024 |
T8 | 256 | 512 | 1024 | 2048 |
- This will increase the following costs for non-Artifact Weapon / Armors:
- Repair Costs
- Reroll Costs
- Salvaging Silver (i.e. amount paid back when salvaged)
- Nutrition Consumed when the item is crafted at a Workstation
- Craft Capacity Consumed when the item is crafted at a Workstation
- Repair Costs
Enchantment 0 | Enchantment 1 | Enchantment 2 | Enchantment 3

T2 | 80.00% | |||

- Elite Terrorbird (1782 → 10053)
- Elite Winter Bear (1782 → 10053)
- Elite Wild Boar (1782 → 10053)

- Fixed a bug where the “Saddled Grey Wolf” Mount used the same Focus Cost as the “Direwolf” Mount
- (3200 → 1876)
- (3200 → 1876)
- Changed the Focus Cost of to be derived from the Nutrition of the ingredients
- Used to be derived from the Nutrition of the resultant Food/Potion Item
- This had two problems
- The Item has the nutrition it consumes from the workstation when crafting added in its final nutrition value
- But this is nutrition that can’t be returned by focus, so it shouldn't be considered in the calculation
- But this is nutrition that can’t be returned by focus, so it shouldn't be considered in the calculation
- Fish Sauce doesn’t contribute to the nutritional value of the product
- However, Fish Sauce can be returned by Focus, so its nutritional value should be considered in the calculation
- However, Fish Sauce can be returned by Focus, so its nutritional value should be considered in the calculation
- The Item has the nutrition it consumes from the workstation when crafting added in its final nutrition value
- Used to be derived from the Nutrition of the resultant Food/Potion Item
- Fixed an issue that added the nutrition consumed from the workstation twice to the final nutrition value (this only happened for items of T3 or higher)
- This also affects the following Ingredient Items (all Tiers are the same), because they need to be processed at a workstation:
- Meat 57 → 52
- Flour 57 → 52
- Butter 57 → 52
- Alcohol 57 → 52
- Bread 66 → 57
- Meat 57 → 52
- This also affects the following Ingredient Items (all Tiers are the same), because they need to be processed at a workstation:
- Reduced the Item Value of Fish Sauce to 0
- Fixed a bug where the Item Value of Avalonian Energy was ignored when calculating the amount of Nutrition that is readded to Avalonian Food but not when calculating the actual Nutrition consumed from the Workstation
- All Food changes lead to varied changes in for Food Items and Potions in following stats:
- Nutrition
- Focus Cost
- Weight
- Craft Time
- Nutrition
